Gor Mahia head coach Ze Maria has named a traveling squad of 19 players ahead of their league match against Zoo Kericho slated for Saturday at Kisumu Stadium.

Notable inclusion in the list is the club’s combative midfielder Collins ‘Gattuso’ Okoth, who is getting to the squad for the first time in 2017 having missed their victory against Kariobangi Sharks.

He was also not available when the team lifted the 2017 KPL Super Cup trophy and even in a pre-season friendly match against Muhoroni Youth in February.

His inclusion confirms his earlier statement to Goal where he explained that they had become friends with Ze Maria and that his objective was to stay focused on the pitch.

“It’s true that we were not in good terms with Coach Ze Maria at some point but we have ironed out our issues and we are now great friends. He has told me that I’m in his plans and I’m also very ready to make him proud. I want to work hard on the pitch and turn a deaf ear on off the pitch issues."

Full squad: Boniface Oluoch, Shaban Odhoji, Karim Nizigiyimana, Godfrey Walusimbi, Harun Shakava, Wellington Ochieng', Musa Mohammed, Ernest Wendo, Philemon Otieno, Collins Okoth, Kenneth Muguna, Francis Kahata, Amos Nondi, Oliver Maloba, Anthony Mbugua, George Odhiambo, Jacques Tuyisenge, Meddie Kagere and Timothy Otieno.
