Celtic are next in action on Tuesday in the Champions League against Real Madrid at Celtic Park. Rangers have to recover for their Champions League clash against Ajax on the road.
Celtic hammer Rangers 4-0 in the first Old Firm derby of the season to take a five-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership. The Bhoys were outstanding from the off taking an early lead through Liel Abada. Jota notched a second with a sublime chip before Abada scored his second with a clinical strike before the break. David Turnbull put the icing on the cake in the second half with a fourth following a mistake by Jon McLaughlin to cap a memorable afternoon for the home side.

That goal sums up Rangers' performance this afternoon.

46' Wright replaces Kamara at the break for the visitors.
The margins between the two teams have not been that great. Rangers have had decent spells of possession and half-chances, but Celtic have come alive in and around the box. Abada and Jota have been clinical and have punished lacklustre defending from the visitors. Giovanni van Bronckhorst needs to rally his team to avoid a humiliating loss.

37' Barisic continues to probe down the left flank with a deep cross to the back post that forces Starfelt to clear behind ahead of Colak.

Celtic work the ball quickly from a free-kick as Juranovic works the ball to O'Riley in space down the right flank. He then sends a quick pass straight for Jota's run in the inside-right channel. There is still work to do, but he beats McLaughlin with a brilliant effort.

18' WIDE! O'Riley finds space in the middle of the park and drives at the Rangers defence. He goes for a left-footed strike, but he sees his effort deflected wide of the target by Goldson.
16' Celtic are undefeated in their last 104 Scottish Premiership games after taking the lead at Celtic Park.
15' Lundstram is down for the visitors and requires treatment on the field. The two sides are giving it everything in the early stages.
14' Juranovic goes down amid pressure from Kent in the box, but the referee waves play on. Giakoumakis goes for goal from distance, only to smash his effort over the bar.
12' It is a fiery contest as challenges are flying in from both sets of players. It is to be expected in an Old Firm derby.

1' We're under way at Celtic Park.
Celtic are unbeaten in their last three league clashes with Old Firm rivals Rangers (W2 D1), this after having lost five of their previous six such meetings beforehand (D1).
Van Bronckhorst also rang the changes during the week for the League Cup win over Queen of the South. Rangers have reverted back mainly to the line-up that defeated Ross County, although there are two changes as Tom Lawrence misses out and is replaced by Davis, while Kamara gets the nod ahead of Wright.
After making changes for the League Cup during the week, Postecoglou has reverted back to the side that beat Dundee United in their last league outing. Abada, Kyogo and Jota continue in the final third after combining for seven of the nine goals scored in the thumping victory.
RANGERS SUBS: Allan McGregor, Ridvan Yilmaz, Ryan Jack, Alfredo Morelos, Scott Wright, Junior Sakala, Scott Arfield, Leon Thomson King, Adam Devine.
RANGERS (4-3-3): Jon McLaughlin; James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, James Sands, Borna Barisic; Glen Kamara, Steven Davis, John Lundstram; Antonio-Mirko Colak, Malik Tilman, Ryan Kent.
CELTIC SUBS: Mortiz Jenz, Georgios Giakoumakis, Sead Haksabanovic, Aaron Mooy, David Turnbull, Benjamin Siegrist, Daizen Maeda, James Forrest, Anthony Ralston.
CELTIC (4-3-3): Joe Hart; Josip Juranovic, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt, Greg Taylor; Matt O'Riley, Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate; Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi, Jota.
Rangers too have been excellent at the start of the campaign, dropping only two points from their opening five matches. The Gers advanced to the next round of the Scottish League Cup during the week by brushing aside Queen of the South at Ibrox. Their 4-0 hammering of Ross County last time out in the Premiership was overshadowed by Celtic's performance, but Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his team are in just as fine a form in front of goal as their Old Firm rivals.
Celtic continued their perfect start to the season with a 4-1 triumph over Ross County on the road in the Scottish League Cup. The Bhoys were nothing short of sensational in their last league outing, putting nine goals past Dundee United in a display of clinical finishing in front of goal. Ange Postecoglou's men are firing on all cylinders and would dearly love to put down a statement against their rivals to take a early lead in the race for the title.
Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the Scottish Premiership clash between Celtic and Rangers at Celtic Park.
