Commentary

That's all for today. Goodbye!
Next up, Bayern host Barcelona in the Champions League, with Stuttgart at home to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.
A late penalty from Guirassy hands Stuttgart a point against Bayern. The hosts took the lead through Tel in the first half, after he directed Davies’ cross past Muller, but Matarazzo’ side fought back. First having a goal from Guirassy disallowed through VAR, it was Fuhrich who levelled the score, firing a pass from Mavropanos past Neuer. Bayern gained the lead moments later through a curling effort from Musiala, whose celebrations were muted after losing possession for the Stuttgart goal. However, a late penalty from the visitors helped them to a deserved point, with Guirassy smashing the ball into the top corner after being fouled by de Ligt.

For Stuttgart, they must make the most of set-piece situations. They had a couple of free-kicks in dangerous crossing positions in the first half, but the deliveries from Sosa were poor, with the ball either going out or straight to Neuer. As for Bayern, they must make the most of their width. They have looked at their most dangerous when Mazraoui and Davies have been on the ball, with Stuttgart struggling with their direct running. Even if the away side gets back into the game, Nagelsmann can always rely on the attacking talent of Sane and Mane on the bench.
At the break, Bayern lead Stuttgart 1-0. It was Tel who gave the current champions the lead, stroking in Davies' cross from the left from close range to score his first Bundesliga goal. Kimmich and Gnabry also threatened with shots towards goal, but their best chance before taking the lead also came through Tel, with the 17-year-old directing Mazraoui's cross straight at Muller in the Stuttgart net.
