Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left Arsenal to join FC Barcelona in a permanent move on the deadline day of the 2022 January transfer window.

Exactly four years back on the deadline day of the 2018 January window, the Gabonese forward signed for the Gunners for a transfer fee of £56 million from Borussia Dortmund. He went on to represent Arsenal in 165 matches where he scored 92 goals and provided 21 assists. He won a FA Cup title and a Community Shield in 2020.

On February 3, 2018, Aubameyang made his debut for Arsenal in a Premier League clash against Everton. The Gunners won the tie 5-1 and the forward was on the scoresheet.

    In January 2018, as a part of a direct swap transfer deal that involved Alexis Sanchez moving to Manchester United, Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined the Gunners from the Red Devils. The Armenian attacker played for only one and a half seasons before being sent on loan to AS Roma in 2019 and then permanently sold in 2020.

    A product of Arsenal’s youth system, Jack Wilshere was promoted to the senior team in 2008 as a 16-year-old kid. He remained at the club for the next 10 seasons, though he moved to Bolton Wanderers (2010) and AFC Bournemouth (2016/17) on two loan spells. In 2018, he joined West Ham United where he remained for two seasons before joining AFC Bournemouth. He was released by the club in May 2021 and since then he is without a team.
