21:59 BST 23/04/2022
Dumisani Zuma, Kaizer Chiefs, April 2022
Amakhosi recorded their second successive 1-0 defeat in the PSL when they lost to Stellies on Saturday evening

GOAL rates the performances of the Amakhosi players following the encounter which was played at Danie Craven Stadium.

  • Brandon Petersen, Kaizer Chiefs, February 2022

    Brandon Petersen - 6/10

Could have done better to save the shot at goal which his team conceded from.

However, Petersen made amends by making some fine saves including one from a one-on-one situation with Judas Moseamedi.

  • Njabulo Blom, Kaizer Chiefs, February 2022

    Njabulo Blom - 5.5/10

Kept his place in the right wing-back position.

Blom seemed to lose focus in some key moments, allowing Stellies to mount pressure on Chiefs. However, he improved after the restart and he made some promising overlapping runs.

  • Happy Mashiane, Kaizer Chiefs, November 2021

    Happy Mashiane - 5/10

Deployed as a left wing-back on his return to the team.

Mashiane allowed opponents to run at him and pass him far too easily at times and didn't offer much going forward. Chiefs conceded after he pushed forward and he was substituted just after the hour-mark.

  • Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    Ramahlwe Mphahlele - 4.5/10

Tormented by Moseamedi throughout his time on the pitch.

Mphahlele struggled to contain the bulky striker, who provided the assist for the only goal of the match. Mphahlele was substituted as the visitors made a tactician change in the second half.

  • Siyabonga Ngezana, Kaizer Chiefs, March 2022

    Siyabonga Ngezana - 5.5/10

Struggled against Ashley du Preez's pace.

Ngezana was a few yards off Du Preez's pace, but he was good in the air as he made some important clearances when Chiefs were bombarded with long balls and crosses.

  • Njabulo Ngcobo, Kaizer Chiefs, February 2022

    Njabulo Ngcobo - 7/10

Easily Chiefs' best defender on the night.

Ngcobo was spectacular in defence, positioning himself in the right areas - winning his duels and making vital clearances and interceptions.

  • Cole Alexander, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    Cole Alexander - 6/10

Worked hard in the middle of the park.

Alexander was solid in central midfield and he also passed the ball well after winning it in the visitors' own half.

  • Sabelo Radebe, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    Sabelo Radebe - 5.5/10

Handed his full debut for the Soweto giants.

Radebe played a few passes, but he didn't offer much when Chiefs were defending. He was substituted while looking tired in the second half.

  • Keagan Dolly, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    Keagan Dolly - 5.5/10

Burst into life in the second half after a quiet first half.

Dolly fired Chiefs' first shot on target and he combined well with his teammates in the visitors' half, but chances didn't fall for him in the box.

  • Khama Billiat, Kaizer Chiefs, February 2022

    Khama Billiat - 6/10

Made some promising runs throughout the game.

Billiat did well to carry the ball into key attacking areas but had little to no support from his teammates at times.

  • Leonardo Castro, Kaizer Chiefs, April 2022

    Leonardo Castro - 5/10

Handed a rare start against Stellies.

Castro looked a shade of himself throughout and he was substituted towards the end of the game without registering a single shot on target.

  • Kearyn Baccus of Kaizer Chiefs, November 2021

    Kearyn Baccus - 6/10

Looked composed in the heart of Chiefs midfield - helping the visitors control the game after coming in the 55th minute

  • Reeve Frosler, Kaizer Chiefs, November 2021

    Reeve Frosler - 5.5/10

Did well to cover areas up and down the left flank, providing options for Amakhosi in attack and he was rarely tested defensively having been introduced in the 64th minute.

  • Dumisani Zuma Kaizer Chiefs

    Dumisani Zuma - 6.5

Came on in the 65th minute and he became a constant threat to the Stellies' defence instantly - forcing goalkeeper Sage Stephens into two good saves.

  • Kgaogelo Sekgota Kaizer Chiefs

    Kgaogelo Sekgota - 6/10

His introduction in the 74th minute gave Chiefs an extra edge in attack, and he delivered some quality crosses into the hosts' box.

  • Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Kaizer Chiefs, April 2022

    Nkosingiphile Ngcobo - 6/10

Brought some needed creativity to the Amakhosi midfield when he came on in the 75th minute and also had his long-range shot saved by Stephens.
