Commentary

That's all for the live text commentary today. Goodbye.
Next up, Inter travel to Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League looking for their first victory in the competition this campaign, with Torino hosting Sassuolo in Serie A.
Inter move into third place in Serie A after a 1-0 victory against Torino at San Siro. Simone Inzaghi’s side scored their late winner through Brozovic, who turned in Barella’s chipped pass from the edge of the box with a neat finish past Milinkovic-Savic. The visiting side were the better team for most of the game, with Handanovic keeping the Nerazzurri’s in the match. Looking to score for a fourth successive game, West Ham loanee Vlasic was denied on three occasions by the Inter goalkeeper, who also stopped four other shots on target. Torino also had a red card scare when Sanabria was given a red card for a high arm on Calhanoglu, but the decision was overturned.

47' Early chance for Torino. Vojvoda's curling shot from the left is deflected wide.
46' Martinez gets the game back underway.
So far for Inter, they have had plenty of shots without testing Milinkovic-Savic in the Torino net. Martínez, Brozovic and Dzeko have all been guilty of having ambitious shots from outside the box with little chance of scoring, instead of keeping the attack alive. If they are to get a goal, they must be more patient. As for Torino, they must get Vlasic and Vojvoda on the ball more often, with the duo looking dangerous every time they have possession.
After a half with little goalmouth action, Inter and Torino head into the break level. Martinez had three in the first half – all off target – with the best chance of the game so far coming for the away side. The only shot on target of the first half, a clever ball from Linetty found the feet of Vlasic, who cut into the box before firing a low shot against the outstretched foot of Handanovic.

40' Dimarco gets the ball on the edge after Martínez lost it before shooting a deflected attempt wide. Corner to Inter.
38' Inter have won each of their last six Serie A home games, always scoring at least two goals (18 in total in this period); the Nerazzurri could win each of their first three home games in a Serie A season for the first time since Antonio Conte's first campaign in charge (2019/20, wins against Lecce, Udinese and Lazio).

16' Vojvoda and Rodríguez combine down the left for Torino in the final third, but Vlasic turns back and gives the ball back to the defence.
14' Torino have won three of their five games this season (D1 L1) but have not won back-to-back Serie A matches since January (against Fiorentina and Sampdoria).
12' Barella, Martínez and Dzeko combine going forward before a cross from Dimarco goes straight into the hands of the Torino goalkeeper.
10' Dzeko wins a free-kick after being cleared out by Buongiorno when flicking the ball into the Torino half.
7' De Vrij plays the ball to Dumfries who bursts into the box, but his cross from the right is poor and Inter lose possession in what was a promising attack.
5' Martinez has his first shot of the game but blazes the ball well over from outside the box.
4' Vojvoda looks to curl the ball into the box, but his cross is too high and goes out for a goal-kick.

The striker has found the back of the net in each of his last two home appearances and in 2022 has not yet managed to reach three in a row (previously doing so in December 2021).
For Torino, Sanabria and Seck replace Pellegri and Radonjic in attack. Schuurs also makes way for Buongiorno in defence.
