That's all from San Siro today, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!
Having made their worst Serie A start since 2011, Inter will have to pick themselves up and continue their Champions League campaign by hosting Barcelona on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Roma welcome Europa League opponents Real Betis to Stadio Olimpico two days later, surely buoyed by their victory in Milan.
Snatching a rare victory from one of their fellow top-six contenders, Roma take three points off Inter for the first time in five years, with something of a smash-and-grab raid at San Siro. Though the home side largely bossed the ball, their build-up was too ponderous, and twice they were stung by their counterparts from the capital; suffering a fifth defeat in 10 games this term, which surely threatens Inzaghi's position. Mourinho, meanwhile, was absent from the touchline through suspension, but will undoubtedly enjoy getting one over his former club and returning to the top four.
90' + 7' FULL-TIME: INTER 1-2 ROMA
90' + 6' Additional time has been extended due to Camara's injury, and Smalling has to head clear inside his six-yard box to concede a corner. Inter can't make anything of it, though, despite Handanovic lurching forward into the box.
90' + 5' Camara is finally back on his feet and is now fit enough to take a pot-shot from distance, which zips well off target but wastes some more time.
90' + 4' Inadvertently, Camara was felled by his team-mate Abraham, who slid into a challenge for a loose ball. He receives treatment while the Inter fans jeer and whistle - there are only two minutes remaining of stoppage time.
N. Barella
Yellow Card
90' + 2' Following a dispute between both sides, as Camara lies prone on the turf, Barella is booked for dissent towards the referee. That's the seventh yellow card since half-time!
90' + 1' From a 25-yard free-kick, Camara drives a powerful effort over the crossbar. Handanovic had to cover across, as it dipped at the very end of its flight.
R. Gosens
Yellow Card
90' For clipping Belotti just outside the Inter box, Gosens is shown a yellow card.
89' CLOSE! On the break, Abraham is one-on-one with Skriniar, who does well to shepherd his opponent into a less favourable shooting position, and the England striker can only pull a low strike across the face of goal and past the left post.
V. Carboni
F. Dimarco
88' Frantically gesticulating on the touchline, Inzaghi makes his final roll of the dice: Dimarco makes way for teenage debutant Carboni.
J. Correa
Yellow Card
87' Having been on the end of a harsh handball decision, Correa's dissent to the referee sees him join a long list of names in the referee's notebook.
A. Belotti
N. Zaniolo
86' Adding fresh legs up front, Roma replace Zaniolo with Belotti for the final few minutes.
85' Adding to Inter's frustration, an overhit cross from the left by Gosens is easily gathered by Patricio by his left-hand post, and the Roma goalkeeper clings gratefully onto the ball.
83' Only moments after arriving from the bench, Bellanova slashes a shot over the crossbar. Inter are getting desperate now - how have they found themselves behind in this game?
R. Bellanova
D. Dumfries
81' A change on the right sees Dumfries make way for Bellanova.
R. Gosens
A. Bastoni
81' Going for broke, Inter make another double change: Bastoni's off and Gosens comes on to add pace on the left flank.
M. Camara
L. Pellegrini
81' Afflicted by cramp, Pellegrini is withdrawn by Mourinho, as Camara comes on as his replacement in midfield.
79' Shortly after Smalling makes a crucial intervention inside his own area, his captain goes down to the turf in some pain. It appears that Pellegrini is suffering from cramp or a muscular problem and may have to be replaced.
J. Correa
H. Çalhanoğlu
77' Calhanoglu also makes way for Inter; Correa comes on to add more threat up front.
H. Mkhitaryan
K. Asllani
77' Inzaghi immediately responds to going behind: Asllani is replaced by ex-Roma midfielder Mkhitaryan.
L. Pellegrini
Assist
75' An inviting high ball, curled in from a free-kick 30 yards out, sees Pellegrini pick out Smalling for Roma's second goal.
C. Smalling
Goal
75' 'SMAL-DINI' STRIKES! Meeting a long, whipped free-kick towards the back post from Pellegrini, Smalling climbs highest to plant a powerful header into the back of the net! He finds the bottom corner, and Roma lead 2-1!
74' As his team are controlling events at the moment, Inzaghi may be loath to make a change or two just yet. However, some fresh impetus from the bench - occupied by both Correa and Mkhitaryan - may help Inter snatch a winner.
K. Asllani
Yellow Card
73' Arriving late into a challenge with Cristante in midfield, Asllani is booked by the referee, who has been kept busy during a more fractious second half.
71' A curling cross from the right by Celik drops into Abraham's path inside the area, but under pressure from Acerbi, the Roma striker is unable to get his shot away cleanly.
69' Inter have had five shots on goal since the start of the second half, while Roma have managed none. They've also won more duels and made more successful passes following the interval, so are certainly on top.
67' JUST WIDE! Barella and Calhanoglu combine on the right side of the box, and the latter picks out Asllani in a central position. He almost hits the net on his first Inter start, but flashes a shot narrowly wide of the right-hand post! Inter are in the ascendancy now!
C. Smalling
Yellow Card
65' The latest in a series of bookings sees Smalling shown yellow, as he becomes the second Roma defender penalised for fouling Martinez.
63' OFF THE CROSSBAR! From a second set-piece chance in a matter of minutes, Inter strike the woodwork! With a free-kick from the left side of the area, 20 yards out, Calhanoglu thuds his shot off the bar, with Patricio left stranded! So close, but the ball bounces clear to safety.
G. Mancini
Yellow Card
61' A clever flick by Dzeko plays in Martinez, but as he hares towards the Roma area, Mancini clips the Inter striker and is shown a yellow card.
60' Shortly after firing a free-kick straight into Roma's defensive wall, Dimarco pops up at the back post to volley a dangerous cross-shot along the six-yard box. No-one can get a foot on it, though.
T. Abraham
P. Dybala
58' Withdrawn due to picking up an apparently minor muscular injury, Dybala is replaced by Abraham in the Roma attack.
56' International team-mates Dybala and Martinez tangle in the Inter half, and the former earns his side a free-kick. It's been a combative start to the second half from both sides, and actually a little scrappy.
N. Zaniolo
Yellow Card
54' An awkward aerial challenge with Skriniar sees Zaniolo booked; receiving the first yellow card of the game.
53' Skriniar advances into the Roma half, taking up the role of overlapping centre-back, and his layoff to Martinez offers the Argentinian striker a chance to strike from 20 yards. However, his shot on the swivel drifts over the crossbar.
51' Zaniolo is lucky to escape futher censure for using an arm on Asllani, which brings his opponent crashing to the turf. Only a free-kick is awarded, but other officials would surely have deemed that a yellow card offence.
49' Inter spring Roma on the counter, with Barella heavily involved, but once again their passing slows and the chance is ultimately lost. The Nerazzurri have been too predictable thus far, and are perhaps suffering from a lack of pace in key areas.
47' Acerbi shoves Zaniolo into Calhanoglu's shoulder, conceding a free-kick in midfield. After a brief moment of concern for the state of his teeth, the Roma man is back to his feet and play continues.
46' We are back under way in Milan, as Inter kick off the second half!
Inzaghi may be fearing the consequences should Inter let this game slip today, as they have already lost three of their first seven Serie A matches, and on only one previous occasion have the club suffered four losses in their first eight (in 2011).
Thanks to yet another moment of inspiration from Dybala, the scores are level at San Siro after the first 45 minutes - a half in which Inter dominated the ball but were ultimately unable to translate such supremacy into a half-time lead. Indeed, the Nerazzurri have only had two shots on target, including Dimarco's opener, while the visitors have managed just one. Mourinho's men have certainly been second-best in midfield, but their prowess on the break sets up a fascinating second half after the break.
45' + 3' HALF-TIME: INTER 1-1 ROMA
45' + 1' A hugely optimistic effort from Cristante - at least 30 yards out from goal - flies over the crossbar. It had plenty of pace, but lacked a little accuracy.
43' With the game now more stretched, and their confidence bolstered by the equaliser, Roma have moved several yards further up the pitch and are posing much more of a threat.
41' On the board again today, Dybala has opened the scoring in each of his previous two appearances and has also been involved in six of Roma's nine Serie A goals this season.
L. Spinazzola
Assist
39' Spinazzola hared up the left flank after a loose pass by Inter set him free, and swung over a cross to the back post for Dybala to equalise.
P. Dybala
Goal
39' ROMA PULL LEVEL! Just moments after his double miss, Dybala strikes! The mercurial maestro drifts to the back post, where Dimarco has left an acre of space, and turns home Spinazzola's swinging cross with a volley that squirms past Handanovic at the near post! A brilliant finish, but like Inter's opening goal, perhaps the goalkeeper could've done better. It's 1-1 at San Siro!
38' DOUBLE SAVE! Handanovic is called into action twice, as he first denies Spinazzola and then Dybala with sharp saves. The ball breaks back out to the latter, but he scuffs a 20-yard shot wide of the left-hand post.
37' An excellent recovery from Ibanez shuts the door on Dumfries, who had surged into the area on the right. Inter's subsequent corner comes to nothing, but the hosts are certainly on top now.
35' Pellegrini bursts forward onto the brink of the box, but when he receives the ball from Zaniolo, the Roma skipper fires well over under pressure from Acerbi.
32' After Smalling denies his former team-mate Dzeko with a clearance behind to concede a corner, Dumfries sends a header over the bar from the resulting set-piece.
N. Barella
Assist
30' From 25 yards out, Barella picks up a yard of space and plays in Dimarco with a perfectly judged pass; setting up Inter's opener.
F. Dimarco
Goal
30' INTER LEAD! Slipping off the shoulder of Celik at the back post, Dimarco arrives in the box to slot a low shot past the poorly positioned Patricio and into the bottom corner! The wing-back received a well-weighted throughball from Barella and showed great composure to put his side 1-0 up!
29' An ambitious shot from over 30 yards out by Asllani drifts wide of the left-hand post, with Patricio untroubled.
28' Twice in a matter of minutes, Acerbi has hit a diagonal pass out of play on the fly, and that sums up Inter's use of their significant chunk of possession.
26' Though struggling to break their opponents down so far, Inter have dominated possession. The hosts have had 61 per cent of the ball to this point; Roma just 39.
24' With an extravagant attempt at a throughball to Dybala, the lively Zaniolo just misses his target and the ball runs through to Handanovic. It was a nice idea, but such passes would suit a striker like Abraham rather than the diminutive Argentinian.
22' Roma waste a rare foray forward, as Dybala clips an underhit free-kick straight into a thicket of Nerazzurri shirts near the penalty spot, and Inter comfortably clear their lines.
20' CLOSE! With a typically powerful strike from long range, Calhanoglu sends a shot zipping narrowly wide of the right-hand post, as Patricio desperately dives to try and make a save.
18' From the corner, Acerbi rises highest to meet Calhanoglu's cross but turns his header well wide of the target; ultimately trickling out for a throw-in.
17' An angled ball from Barella to Dumfries breaks up a monotonous series of passes, and Spinazzola is forced to flick the ball behind for a corner.
15' Slightly ponderously, Inter are building through the pitch with short passes, but Roma are still content to hold a tight shape inside their own half.
13' With Roma's first effort at goal, Dybala's wayward attempt flies well over the crossbar. The visitors have offered very little in attack so far; preferring to sit back and strike on the counter.
11' NO GOAL! Inter's opener is chalked off: Dzeko was just offside when he received the ball from Martinez, and he must wait a little longer for his 100th Serie A strike. That's a let-off for Roma!
10' INTER LEAD? Dzeko nets against his former club! After a period of pressure around the Roma box ends with Martinez scrambling the ball towards his strike partner, the Bosnian striker fires into the bottom corner from 15 yards. However, the VAR has initiated a review, and we must wait to see if the goal stands!
8' Ahead of today's game, Inter had gone unbeaten in 10 Serie A matches against their counterparts from the capital - the club's best run against Roma for more than 80 years.
6' We seem set for a running battle between Dumfries and Spinazzola down Inter's right flank today, and so far the former has had the measure of his opposite number. Both can pose a serious threat in attack.
4' From Calhanoglu's free-kick, taken from the right touchline, Martinez makes headed contact near the penalty spot, but his effort is easily saved in a central position by Patricio.
3' As the home side apply some early pressure, both Bastoni and Dumfries are unable to deliver into the box from either wing, before the latter is brought down by Spinazzola and earns a free-kick 25 yards out, on the right.
1' Roma kick off, and we are under way in Milan!
The players are out on the pitch at San Siro, with kick-off now just moments away!
Though Dutch pair Georginio Wijnaldum and Rick Karsdorp remain long-term injury absentees, Roma welcome back Dybala today. The Argentina striker - who came close to joining Inter just weeks ago - replaces Abraham up front, and will be supported by Zaniolo and captain Pellegrini. Abraham therefore joins Belotti and Shomurodov among Mourinho's options on the bench.
Already suspended in any case, Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic also returned from Croatia duty injured and is unavailable today. Debutant Asllani replaces him alongside Calhanoglu, who returns from the start. Still on the road to recovery from a thigh problem, Romelu Lukaku misses out again, which sees ex-Roma striker Dzeko partner Martinez up front. Meanwhile, Acerbi beats De Vrij to a place in the hosts' back three.

While Roma's most recent league victory over Inter came more than five years ago, the capital club arrive in Milan one point ahead of their hosts in the Serie A standings. Their form began to falter, though, before international football intervened, and the Giallorossi have lost two of their last three domestic games - as many as in the previous 21. A 4-0 reverse at the hands of in-form Udinese and subsequent home loss to Atalanta saw Roma fall off the pace being set by Napoli at the top, but Jose Mourinho will aim to get back on track by beating his former club today.
Amid a series of strange results in Serie A's seventh round, Inter joined several top clubs in losing just before the international break - suffering a 3-1 defeat against surprise package Udinese. Simone Inzaghi's side therefore lost their third straight away game in the top flight - the first time Inter have done so since 2017 - and have now lost three of their first seven matches for just the 10th time in club history. However, the Nerazzurri now kick off a busy October having taken maximum points from each of their last seven home games in the league; keeping four clean sheets in the process.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of today's Serie A clash between Inter and Roma at San Siro!
