Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring after just 58 seconds, Arsenal’s quickest goal in this fixture in the Premier League, with only Martin Skrtel scoring earlier for either side (51 seconds in February 2014). Martinelli’s goal was the seventh that Liverpool have conceded in the first minute in the competition, and the first since Dwight Gayle netted after 25 seconds for Newcastle in July 2020.
The Gunners will look to pick up another win against Bodo/Glimt in Thursday's Europa League outing.
