GOALKEEPER: Richard Ofori – 6
The Ghana stopper had very little to do against as his former team failed to threaten in attack for most of the evening.

The ex-Maritzburg man was busy down the right flank, always looking to be involved, but was unable to make any telling contributions.

CENTRE-BACK: Happy Jele - 5
Showed some classy, composed defending in the first half and was having a great game until he was caught ball-watching for Marirzburg’s goal.

CENTRE-BACK: Olisa Ndah – 6
A little off his usual best in the first 20 minutes, but became more composed as the game went on.

LEFT-BACK: Innocent Maela - 5
A subdued performance, and Maela could have done more to stop the visitors from scoring as he allowed Theron to cross after a poor defensive header.

RIGHT-WING: Thembinkosi Lorch - 8
Missed an early chance, then hit the post, and then scored, all in the first 21 minutes. You could see his self-belief and rhythm coming back; Lorch still looking for his best form after a long-term injury. The late back-heel assist for Dlamini underlined his growing confidence. Three assists and one goal, it was some night.

CENTRE-MID: Ben Motshwari – 6
Gave away a few fouls, but did the dirty work well to ensure Bucs set the tempo and had possession of the ball.
-
CENTRE-MID: Goodman Mosele – 7
Showed his usual guile and creativity on the ball and was the oil in the Bucs machine, linking the team through the middle of the park.

CENTRE-MID ATTACKING: Kabelo Dlamini – 7
Dlamini has taken stick from the fans this season. But this was one of his better performances as he regularly found pockets of space to receive possession and used the ball tellingly to create chances for team-mates, also having a couple of shots himself before getting on the score-sheet with an emphatic finish.

STRIKER: Kwame Peprah – 6
The Ghana striker had struggled to get into the game in the first half, only to pop up and score just before the interval.

LEFT-WING: Deon Hotto – 7
Didn’t have a great first half, but as Maritzburg withered, the Namibian went from strength to strength and he took his goal superbly on the turn and also provided an assist.

SUBSTITUTE: Fortune Makaringe – 6
Lively against his old side, but didn’t make a major impact.

SUBSTITUTE: Tshegofatso Mabasa – 6
Should have scored after a great touch to control Mosele’s through-ball, but lacked composure when it counted.
