Kaizer Chiefs recorded their fourth league defeat of the season when they lost 2-1 to Chippa United at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Soweto giants scored first through Siyabonga Ngezana, but the Chilli Boys netted through Siphelele Luthuli and Edmilson Dove (own-goal) to claim a win.
GOAL runs the rule over the individual performances of the Chiefs players.
Worst performance in Chiefs colours.
Petersen's ball distribution and communication were poor throughout the game, and he should have done better to stop Chippa's second goal.
Kept busy by Azola Matrose.
Frosler didn't offer much going forward as he was more concerned with stopping the Chippa winger, who tormented him throughout the game.
Decent game showing good man-marking skills.
Hlanti did well to contain Thabiso Lebitso, who had a quiet match. However, Hlanti was unlucky when the ball deflected off him before Luthuli scored.
Continued his good form.
Dove was rock-solid as he used his good positioning and anticipation to his advantage - dominating in defence. Unfortunately, he was adjudged to have scored an own goal as Ronald Pfumbidzai's header came off him.
Handed another start despite Zitha Kwinika's return from suspension.
Ngezana made a good start to the game in a typically combative fashion and he scored with a thumping header. He had to be substituted with 15 minutes left having picked up an injury.
Put in a commanding performance in the middle of the park.
Blom was solid defensively, making timely clearances and reading Chippa's movements intelligently. He also made a few forward runs with the ball as he looked to create chances for his teammates.
Went missing in midfield with Blom overworked.
Maart was outclassed by Man of the Match Siphesihle Mkhize who neutralized the Chiefs midfielder. He was substituted towards the end of the game.
Mixed performance.
Dolly's delivery from set-pieces was brilliant and he grabbed an assist when Ngezana headed home his well-taken corner-kick. However, Dolly was wasteful in the final third - missing a sitter in the closing stages.
Failed to make an impact.
Du Preez drove at defenders in a bid to unsettle the visitors' backline on a few occasions, but his end product was poor which led to his substitution.
A constant threat to Chippa's defence.
Sekgota used his pace and football IQ to get behind the Chilli Boys' defence, and he delivered some decent crosses. He was surprisingly substituted just before the hour-mark.
Wasteful.
Bimenyimana got himself into good positions, but he was let down by some poor finishing including a sitter with only goalkeeper Lloyd Kazapua to the beat in the dying minutes of the game.
Came on in the 57th minute as he returned from injury and he combined well with Dolly, but chances didn't fall for him in Chippa's box.
His role was to carry Chiefs forward from midfield when he came on in the 57th minute and he did that with some promising runs with the ball, but Chiefs were wasteful.
Replaced Ngezana with 15 minutes and he was never tested as Chiefs were pushing for a late goal.
Came on in the 85th minute and it was too late to warrant a rating.
