Al-Ittihad sound out move for Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate
According to RMC Sport, Al-Ittihad are interested in Ibrahima Konate as the Saudi Pro League side are sounding out a move for the defender. The Frenchman only signed for the Reds last summer but has already made an impact at the club. However, Al-Ittihad seems to have set their targets on Liverpool as they have been linked with moves for Mohammed Salah and Joe Gomez as well.
RMC Sport has reported that their interest in Konate comes after OGC Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo rejected a potential move to Saudi Arabia. However, reports have indicated that the Reds are unwilling to part with Konate or Gomez, as Jurgen Klopp sees them as a key part of his squad. Not only that, the report has indicated that the French defender has turned down the approach but that hasn’t deterred them.

However, reports have indicated that Leverkusen could be tempted by a big enough offer for the midfielder.
Furthermore, The Athletic has revealed that the Reds aren’t the only side in the running as Manchester United are keeping a close eye on Palacios. The Red Devils are also on the hunt for another midfielder but are yet to make an offer for anyone.

This comes despite the fact that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has denied that Salah will leave this summer and even refuted claims that the Egyptian has asked to leave. However, Al-Ittihad are reportedly very keen on making the Egyptian their marquee star and are thus pushing for the move.

Liverpool join hunt to sign PSV Eindhoven starlet Johan Bakayoko
As per Football Insider, Liverpool have joined Everton, Crystal Palace and Burnley in the race to sign PSV Eindhoven star Johan Bakayoko this summer. The 20-year-old has become a hot topic as the summer window draws to a close but the Eredivisie side is yet to get an offer that matches their valuation. So much so, that they’ve already rejected two bids from the Clarets, with the latest being around £17.2m.
However, that has allowed other clubs the chance to make their move and Football Insider has reported that Liverpool are yet to make an offer as they’re only monitoring Bakayoko’s situation. Yet, the report has indicated that if an opportunity arises to get an affordable move done, the Reds will pounce on their chance.

However, while the Reds are unwilling to part with Salah, reports have indicated that their hand could be forced.

Crystal Palace’s Cheick Doucoure still at top of Liverpool’s shortlist
News outlet Football Insider has reported that Crystal Palace's Cheick Doucoure is still at the top of Liverpool’s shortlist. The Eagles are unwilling to part with the Mali international but despite that, the Anfield side are still open to a move. The Reds are looking to reinforce their midfield, especially after losing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia this summer.
However, Crystal Palace don’t want to lose any key stars and have thus placed a £70m price-tag on the 23-year-old. Yet despite that, Football Insider has reported that Liverpool are confident they can get a deal done as the Mali international is believed to be keen on a potential move to Anfield.
Liverpool lining up Joao Felix as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah
According to Football Transfers, Liverpool will attempt to sign Joao Felix if Mohamed Salah decides to leave for the Saudi Pro League this summer. The 31-year-old has been subject to interest from Saudi Arabia as Al-Ittihad have reportedly tabled a £100m bid to sign the Egyptian. However, while the Reds had rejected any chance of losing Salah, the situation has now changed as he wants to leave.
In light of that, Liverpool have created a contingency plan to replace Salah with Joao Felix at the top of their shortlist. The 23-year-old’s future lies away from Atletico Madrid after a falling out with manager Diego Simeone but interest in the forward has been sparse. However, he has been linked with moves to Barcelona and Al-Hilal although Felix is yet to make a decision on his future.

But while reports have indicated that the Reds have tabled a €45m bid, Leverkusen are not looking to sell. Not only that, Florian Plettenberg has reported that Leverkusen definitely want to keep the 21-year-old at the club and that the club aren’t going to sell for any price.

Liverpool in talks to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie
According to Fichajes (via Football365), Liverpool are very keen on signing Bayer Leverkusen starlet Piero Hincapie and are prepared to table a bid worth around €45m. The 21-year-old has impressed ever since Xabi Alonso took over at Leverkusen and has looked the part, which has seen his valuation rise.
However, reports from Germany have indicated that in light of that, the Bundesliga side wants at least €70m to let Hincapie leave. That combined with the fact that the defender signed a new contract until 2027 in February means that Leverkusen are under no pressure to sell him. It does force Liverpool’s hand but Fichajes has further reported that the Reds are in talks and are confident.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has refuted claims that Mohamed Salah could leave and revealed that the club have no plans of selling him. The 31-year-old is reportedly the target for Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad although they’ve yet to make an offer to either player or club. That could change before the window closes but Liverpool are reportedly not looking to sell.
Klopp went on to say “We don’t have an offer — Mo Salah is a Liverpool player and for all the things we do is essential. If there would be something, answer would be NO. Mo is 100% committed to Liverpool. Nothing to talk about.”

Crystal Palace looking for mega fee to sell Cheick Doucoure
According to Fabrizio Romano, Crystal Palace will only sell Cheick Doucoure if they get a ‘very big proposal’ despite interest from Liverpool. The 23-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to Anfield although no official bid has been submitted by the Reds yet. However, despite that, the Mali international is high up on Liverpool’s shortlist as the club are looking for a versatile operator.
However, Romano has revealed that despite the interest, Palace are unwilling to part with a key star for anything less than a big money fee. Reports have indicated that the Eagles are looking for something north of £70m, a fee that the Reds may not be able to afford this summer.
Fluminense block Liverpool’s pursuit of Andre
According to GloboEsporte, Fluminense have blocked any approach from Liverpool for Andre despite the Reds being willing to offer around €30m for the midfielder. The Anfield side are keen on signing the Brazilian this summer as a replacement for Fabinho who left for Saudi Arabia. However, they’ve struggled to reach an agreement with Fluminense, who want to keep the 22-year-old until January.
Andre does have a contract until December 2026 and with the Brazilian side in contention to win the Copa Libertadores, they don’t want to let a key player leave. However, GloboEsporte has reported that Liverpool are adamant about signing Andre and believes they can strike a deal.
Liverpool re-ignite interest in Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips
According to TalkSPORT, Liverpool are discussing the possibility of potentially signing Kalvin Phillips this summer after missing out on Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo. The Reds were heavily linked with a move for both midfielders but Chelsea won the race in the end. It saw the club sign Wataru Endo but despite that, the Reds are looking to bring in one more midfielder.
That has seen them look towards Phillips again especially after the arrival of Mateo Kovacic which has seen the 27-year-old’s game-time reduce. So much so, that TalkSPORT has revealed that the midfielder might consider leaving. However, at the moment, the report has indicated that the England international is still looking at his options which does include staying at City.
Liverpool and Manchester United to lock horns over Ryan Gravenberch
According to the Mirror, Liverpool are set to battle Manchester United over a potential move for Ryan Gravenberch this summer. The Reds are still looking to improve their squad and believe that the Dutch midfielder is the perfect option for them. However, Bayern Munich have been unwilling to let the 21-year-old leave although reports have now indicated otherwise.
The Mirror has revealed the German champions are open to letting Gravenberch leave if they get an offer of around £22m. Not only that, the club are willing to compromise and let the 21-year-old leave on loan, something that appeals to both Premier League sides. Furthermore, the Mirror has also reported that both English sides have already tabled contract offers to the 21-year-old’s representatives although they’re yet to submit an official bid.
Liverpool withdraw interest in Fulham's Joao Palhinha
According to Football Insider, Liverpool have pulled the plug on a potential move for Joao Palhinha because of the midfielder’s injury and other issues with the deal. The Reds have been looking to reinforce their midfield this summer and have already signed three new faces. However, after losing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia to Chelsea, the Anfield side have been looking at other targets.
But while Palhinha was on that list, Football Insider has revealed that Fulham’s £90m asking price has deterred any bid from Liverpool as the Reds’ valued the midfielder at around half that price. That was also the case with West Ham as they had a bid worth around £45m rejected by the Cottagers.
Crystal Palace set £70m price-tag for Cheick Doucoure amid Liverpool interest
According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace have set an asking price of £70m for Cheick Doucoure amidst rumours that Liverpool have targeted the midfielder. The Reds have been linked with a move for several stars this summer as potential replacements for Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. However, while they have recently signed Wataru Endo, reports have indicated that Doucoure remains on their shortlist.
The Mali international has shone at Selhurst Park and as a result, Football Insider has revealed that Palace won’t accept any bid lower than £70m. However, despite that price-tag, the Reds are reportedly confident that they can get a deal done although they’re yet to open negotiations.
Liverpool sign Stuttgart’s Wataru Endo for €19m
In an official statement, Liverpool have confirmed that they have signed Stuttgart’s Wataru Endo in a deal worth around €19m. The Reds have been in desperate search for midfield depth after letting the likes of Fabinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner, Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson leave.
The 30-year-old Japan international has signed a four-year contract which will keep him at Anfield until 2027 although the move comes after the Reds missed out on both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. The duo were reportedly their top targets this summer but Liverpool were outdone by Chelsea, who signed both midfielders this summer.

According to the Mirror, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah is set to be the subject of a serious bid from the Saudi Pro League in 2024 as they aim to strengthen their talent pool. The league has already caused a stir in world football this summer by attracting top talents with lucrative wage offers. So much so that the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Fabinho, and others have all made moves to Saudi Arabia.

However, Salah only recently signed a lucrative long-term contract with the Reds could complicate any potential transfer.
Liverpool table €25m bid for Celta Vigo prodigy Gabri Veiga
Estadio Deportivo has reported that Liverpool have made an initial bid of €25m for Celta Vigo's promising talent Gabri Veiga as they continue to strengthen their squad. The young midfielder has attracted significant interest this summer, with Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona, and several other clubs closely monitoring the situation.
Back in June, Fabrizio Romano revealed that both Liverpool and Chelsea had engaged in discussions with Celta Vigo regarding a potential transfer. While the Blues' interest has faded, Jurgen Klopp's side has now officially submitted a bid. However, the offer falls well short of the La Liga side's demands, as they want the 21-year-old's €40m release clause to be paid for any potential move to materialize.
Liverpool hoping to sign two midfielders before deadline day
Liverpool aims to bolster their squad before the summer transfer window concludes by signing two midfielders and a defender, according to Sky Sports journalist Melissa Reddy. The club has been linked with moves for several players and they have already signed both Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szobozolai.
Yet, with more than half a dozen players leaving, Jurgen Klopp wants to add more bodies to his squad. Reddy confirmed that Liverpool's ideal scenario involves acquiring two midfielders, a 'controller' and a 'progressive destroyer.' Nevertheless, the Anfield side are in no rush and are willing to wait for the right candidates.
Was part of my reporting yesterday that in an ideal situation, it would be a controller and a progressive destroyer (plus a defender). Might be a case of holding on one of the profiles if there's confidence better can be found. But they're currently working on multiple solutions
