McTominay's winner was a very important one as it leaves Man United just three points behind Real Sociedad rather than an overwhelming five points, with just two games remaining. The result does mean Omonia are out of the Europa League, but they can still make it into the Conference League. Man United will host Sheriff Tiraspol in their next European game while Omonia face group leaders Sociedad.
Omonia will be disappointed to walk away with nothing from this game, especially goalkeeper Uzoho. He made 12 saves throughout the game to stop dangerous efforts from the likes of Rashford, who had 10 shots today, Ronaldo, and Fernandes. Omonia defended well despite struggling in attack but substitute McTominay broke the hearts of the away fans with a very composed finish in the 93rd minute to secure all three points for the Red Devils.

Rashford was a level above everyone else in the first 45 minutes and he will be key for Man United in the second half too. The home side will need to be wary of an Omonia counter-attack as they are very quick to capitalise on a mistake at the back.
Manchester United dominated the first half from the word go. Rashford forced an early save from Uzoho, one of four the goalkeeper had to make throughout the half. The winger came close to scoring again in the 22nd minute, but his shot with his weaker foot was straight at Uzoho. Casemiro rattled the crossbar in the 33rd minute before Fred missed a golden chance from six yards out as he headed Antony's cross over the bar. Omonia's only chance came in the 42nd minute when Bruno beared down on goal, but he chose to shoot from a tight angle over passing to a wide-open team-mate and wasted the opportunity.

Neil Lennon’s Omonia are bottom of the group with zero points and are in desparate need of a win, or even a point, if they want to stay in Europe. They lost last weekend to AEL Limassol, but this was with a slightly rotated side.
Manchester United are currently second in Group E after winning the reverse fixture 3-2 last week. Erik ten Hag’s side also beat Everton 2-1 on the weekend with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the winner for the Red Devils. A win tonight could all but secure a place in the next round of the competition.
