That's all for today, goodbye!
Arsenal get the first points of the season on the table, and they'll be hoping to build on this when they host Leicester City next weekend. There are positives for Vieira to take out of this game, but Palace have to wait 10 days before their next outing against Liverpool.
Arsenal start their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over Palace. They made a bright start to the game and capitalised on that when Martinelli nodded in from a corner in the first half. Palace grew into the game as it went on, with Edouard and Eze forcing good saves out of Ramsdale. Arsenal rode out the pressure though and sealed the win late on through Guehi's own goal when Saka's cross deflected in off him.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 0-2 ARSENAL.
A. Lokonga
M. Ødegaard
90' + 3' Odegaard is taking his time leaving the field after his number goes up, and Lokonga comes on to replace him for the last few seconds.
90' + 1' Into the first of three added minutes here and Palace are still pushing for a late consolation. Milivojevic slides it through to Hughes, who clips a great cross into the far post, but it's flicked away by Tierney.
89' Ebiowei jinks inside from the right with some clever footwork only to hit his cross against Gabriel. It bounces back to him and then off the referee. Palace get the drop ball, but the stop allows Arsenal to get back into their shape.
87' BLOCK! Arsenal are looking to add more to their tally as Odegaard helps it out to Saka in space on the right of the box again. He quickly sorts his feet out before hitting the shot, but it's a good block by Guehi.
W. Hughes
J. Schlupp
86' And Hughes is also brought on in place of Schlupp.
M. Ebiowei
E. Eze
86' Final changes for Palace now, as Eze is taken off and replaced by Ebiowei, who makes his Premier League debut.
M. Guéhi
Own Goal
85' OWN GOAL! Arsenal quickly work it upfield and switch it from left to right, with Nketiah spreading it out to Saka. He takes it past Mitchell before trying to cross it into the middle, but a deflection off Guehi takes it past Guaita and into the back of the net instead. 2-0 Arsenal!
K. Tierney
O. Zinchenko
83' And Zinchenko is the other player making way, with Tierney coming on in his place.
E. Nketiah
Gabriel Jesus
83' Arsenal are making their first changes of the game now. Jesus is the first to go off, with Nketiah replacing him.
81' Ayew is causing some real problems down the right and he cuts inside with some lovely footwork. He goes down inside the box, but nothing's given. Palace keep hold of it, with Zaha fizzing a dangerous ball across goal, but nobody is there to meet it.
79' Palace are still pushing for a late equaliser as Eze plays a one-two with Schlupp to open up space. He picks out Zaha, who tries to tee up Mateta, but Saliba is there again for Arsenal.
77' Ayew finds himself in space down the right again and he puts another good cross into the box. Mateta tumbles into and then over Gabriel, and a free-kick is awarded to Arsenal, much to the Palace fans' frustration.
L. Milivojević
C. Doucouré
75' Doucoure is taken off after receiving treatment, with Milivojevic brought on in his place.
74' Doucoure has pulled up with cramp, so the managers are taking the opportunity to talk to their players while he receives treatment.
72' Ayew brushes Zinchenko aside, but his early cross into the box is out of everyone's reach. It runs through to Zaha on the far side, but his ball in is met by Saliba.
70' MISS! Arsenal catch Palace out with a quick free-kick, and White slides it down the right for Saka. Guehi forces him to the byline, so the angle is tight, and Saka fires it high and wide at the near post.
68' Arsenal are struggling to keep hold of the ball as Palace push them higher up the field. The hosts look to work it down their left this time, but White stops Zaha's run.
66' Palace patiently work it down their right and Clyne whips a cross in, but Gabriel is in front of Mateta. It bounces out to Schlupp, but he scuffs at the shot as Zinchenko slides in to block it.
N. Clyne
Yellow Card
64' A stoppage in play allows the referee to go back and book Clyne for an earlier tackle on Martinelli when he clipped the Brazilian's heels.
62' Palace's corner causes all sorts of problems as Andersen nods it back into the middle from the far post again. Gabriel chests it down and then scuffs his clearance and Ramsdale reacts quickly to stick out a hand to stop the own goal.
B. White
Yellow Card
60' Zaha is away from White this time, and the defender has a tug of his shirt. He can have no complaints with that yellow card.
59' Jesus outmuscles Guehi and squares a great ball into the near post for Odegaard. He has the option to hit it first time, but tries to help it onto Martinelli instead and it's cut out by Andersen.
J. Mateta
O. Édouard
58' Palace are making the first change of the game, and it's Mateta that's coming on in place of Edouard.
56' Saka is tripped as he tried to push his way into the box and Arsenal have a free-kick in a good position. Odegaard tries to whip it into the near post, but it curls wide.
54' Two big shouts for a penalty from the Palace fans: first for a handball against White as it flicked off his heel onto his arm and the second as Saliba slides in on Zaha. It was a good tackle though and the referee waves the claims away.
52' GOOD SAVE! Ayew surges forward on the counter and it looks like White has cut it out until he's caught on the ball. Zaha switches it to Eze on the left, and he goes for goal from the angle, but Ramsdale is equal to it.
50' White gets the better of Zaha again and Arsenal aren't in any hurry to get upfield on the counter. They work it out from the back and Edouard ends up kicking out at the back of Jesus in his frustration.
48' Palace have made a bright start to the second half as Andersen lifts another long ball over the top to Ayew. He cuts inside before teeing up Schlupp, but his shot takes a big deflection as it bounces wide.
46' Arsenal get us back underway for the second half!
Arteta will be pleased with what he's seen so far; his team dominated possession and limited Palace to few chances until the end of the half, so he'll be hoping for more of the same. After a slow start, the Eagles did start to show a threat, but Vieira will be expecting a much quicker pace from his side after the break.
Martinelli's goal gives Arsenal a 1-0 lead over Crystal Palace at half-time. The Gunners made a bright start to the game, with Martinelli coming close in the fourth minute before Zinchenko forced a good save out of Guaita. It was those two that linked up for the goal, with Zinchenko nodding a corner back into the middle for the Brazilian to finish. Palace grew into the game, with Ramsdale making a good save to deny Edouard late on.
45' + 2' HALF-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 0-1 ARSENAL.
45' + 1' CHANCE! Ayew fizzes it into Edouard on the edge of the box and his first shot is blocked by Saliba, but he keeps hold of the ball. From a tight angle, he squeezes another effort towards goal, but it's deflected over.
G. Xhaka
Yellow Card
44' Xhaka is surging through the middle and Andersen debates putting out an arm to stop him but decides against it. Xhaka goes to ground anyway, and he's booked for diving.
42' GOOD SAVE! Another free-kick on the left and Eze loops it into the far post this time. Andersen nods it back across the box and Edouard flicks the header on. Ramsdale keeps it out with a strong hand and then scoops up the loose ball.
40' Eze whips a free-kick in from the left and Gabriel half clears it. Ayew recycles it, curling a cross in from the opposite flank, which the Brazilian clears again, but Palace keep hold of it.
38' It's another dangerous, low cross into the box from Saka on the right and Andersen just manages to arrange his feet in time to stop it from reaching Martinelli. Jesus is following in, but Clyne reacts quickest to hook it away.
36' There are big shouts from the Palace fans and players for a penalty. The ball bounced up and on its way back down, glanced off the defender's arm, and there isn't enough in that.
34' Clyne's header bounces off Martinelli and Xhaka sets Arsenal off on the counter. Jesus plays a good one-two with Saka, but then takes a loose touch which gifts it back to Palace.
32' Andersen goes long to Zaha again and he cuts right then left in an attempt to lose White. He does get away from the defender, but Saka tracks back to stop the cross from going in.
30' It's White that knocks it back to Ramsdale and Edouard sprints to close him down. Ramsdale just manages to clear his lines before he slips, but Palace are going to keep trying to catch him out.
28' Gabriel knocks it back to Ramsdale, and the keeper is very casual on the ball again. His first touch gets away from him and then he hits his clearance against Edouard. Luckily for him, it bounces straight back to Gabriel.
26' Arsenal are getting a lot of joy down their right side as Saka finds space to curl another good cross into the middle. Jesus is hovering on the penalty spot, but Andersen makes another important interception.
24' Palace are enjoying a good spell of possession here as they try to find their rhythm in the game. Andersen goes long out to Zaha, but Saliba stops it from reaching Edouard.
22' Jesus quickly cuts out another loose pass and Arsenal work it out to the right again. Partey whips a dangerous cross into the box, but Jesus crashes into Andersen, who was clearing his lines.
O. Zinchenko
Assist
20' Zinchenko started outside the D and wasn't picked up by Palace as he ran into the space at the far post to nod it back into the crowd.
Gabriel Martinelli
Goal
20' MARTINELLI SCORES! Saka's looping deep cross picks out Zinchenko, who is completely unmarked at the far post. He nods it back across goal, and it's too high for Partey, but Martinelli is waiting behind him to nod it under Guaita and into the bottom corner. 1-0 Arsenal!
18' Ayew slides in with a crunching challenge on Martinelli, which isn't helped as Doucoure gets caught in the tangle. Arsenal take their free-kick short, but can't work it into the box.
16' Palace are just starting to find their footing in this game, with Schlupp driving them upfield down the left. He knocks it onto Mitchell, but again, they can't pick out a cross into the box.
14' Edouard does well to win it back in midfield and he quickly lays it off to Zaha on the left. Five Arsenal players are between him and his team-mates, with Xhaka blocking the cross.
12' Palace are struggling to get a touch on the ball at the moment, with Arsenal patiently working it out from the back. Martinelli drives through the middle before trying to thread it through to Jesus, but Andersen intercepts it.
10' Arsenal have lost their opening Premier League match in five of their last nine seasons (W4) after losing their first match in just one of their 19 campaigns prior to this run; the Gunners lost 2-0 to Brentford last term.
8' GOOD SAVE! Arsenal work it quickly upfield again, with Odegaard switching it out to Zinchenko on the left again. He cuts inside before taking the shot, and Guaita has to push it away.
6' Arsenal are piling the pressure on Palace here as Saka and Zinchenko both see crosses blocked on either flank. Zinchenko gets it back and he almost picks out Jesus with his second attempt, but Andersen sticks out a leg to block it.
4' CHANCE! It's a loose pass from Zaha and Jesus pounces onto it, brushing aside Doucoure. He weaves his way through the crowd into the box before seeing his shot blocked by Guehi. It comes to Martinelli, who fizzes it low across goal, but it rolls wide.
2' Martinelli goes for the big switch out to Saka on the right before Arsenal patiently try to work it into the box. Palace are staying compact though, and the Gunners can't find a way through.
1' Eze gets the game underway for Palace!
The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away!
Palace have lost just one of their last eight Premier League meetings with Arsenal (W2 D5). Following a 3-0 win in April, the Eagles are looking to win consecutive league games against them for the first time in their history.
Mikel Arteta names an unchanged line-up from their last outing in pre-season against Sevilla, which means that Saliba, Zinchenko and Jesus all make their Premier League debuts for Arsenal. Tierney is fit enough for the bench after shaking off a knock, with another new signing in Turner also among the substitutes.
Vieira makes just one change to the side that started their last friendly against Montpellier, as he brings Clyne in to replace Ward, who drops to the bench. Doucoure makes his Premier League debut for the club, while the other new signings Johnstone, Ebiowei and Richards all start on the bench.

ARSENAL STARTING XI (3-4-1-2): Aaron Ramsdale; Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes; Bukayo Saka, Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Oleksandr Zinchenko; Martin Odegaard; Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli.

For the second season in a row, Arsenal are kicking off the Premier League season in a London derby, this time with a trip to Palace. It was an up and down campaign for the Gunners last time out, but they did get back into Europe after securing a fifth-place finish. They come into this game having won all four of their pre-season friendlies, scoring 20 goals in the process. Palace had a strong first season under Patrick Vieira last year, which also saw them reach the FA Cup semi-final. They lost just two of their pre-season matches (W4 D1), going unbeaten in the last four.
