Masandawana have been boosted by Erwin Saavedra's return from injury, while Lebohang Maboe is also available for selection after recovering from a long-term injury.

GOAL predicts the Tshwane giants' starting XI ahead of their fourth Champions League Group A game which is against Egypt's Al Ahly at FNB Stadium on Saturday.

  • Kennedy Mweene, Mamelodi Sundowns, February 2022

    GOALKEEPER - Kennedy Mweene

The 37-year-old shot-stopper frustrated Al Ahly with some wonderful saves in Cairo as Downs claimed a 1-0 win almost two weeks.

With first-choice Denis Onyango still out injured, Mweene will be hoping to keep another clean sheet against the reigning African champions.

  • Khuliso Mudau, Mamelodi Sundowns, February 2022

    RIGHT-BACK - Khuliso Mudau

The in-form full-back will be brimming with confidence after being handed his first-ever Bafana Bafana call-up in midweek.

Mudau was rested on Tuesday as Downs thumped Mathaithai 6-0 in the Nedbank Cup clash and he will be ready to deliver for the PSL champions.

  • Lyle Lakay, Mamelodi Sundowns, February 2022

    LEFT-BACK - Lyle Lakay

The experienced full-back will also be celebrating his return to the Bafana squad having been one of Masandawana's standout performers this season.

Lakay was also rested against Mathaithai having already played 30 club matches across all competitions this term.

  • Rushine De Reuck, Mamelodi Sundowns, December 2021

CENTRAL DEFENDER - Rushine de Reuck

The gifted defender has been outstanding in this season's Champions League as he looks to establish himself as one of the best centre backs based in Africa.

De Reuck, who is a regular in the Bafana squad, has played a key role in helping Masandawana keep three successive clean sheets in the group stage.

  • Brian Mandela, Mamelodi Sundowns, February 2022

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Brian Mandela

The former Maritzburg United star is enjoying his football at the Chloorkop-based side at the moment having re-cemented his place in the team's starting line-up.

Mandela was among Downs regulars who were rested against Mathaithai and he will be bracing himself for another intriguing battle with Al Ahly's star forward Mohamed Sherif.

  • Rivaldo Coetzee, Mamelodi Sundowns, August 2021

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Rivaldo Coetzee

The former Celtic FC target is another Masandawana player who will be looking to celebrate his return to the Bafana squad with a good performance against Al Ahly.

Coetzee is expected to be assigned to man-mark Red Eagles' influential playmaker Mohamed Magdi Kafsha once again.

  • Andile Jali, Mamelodi Sundowns, September 2021

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Andile Jali

The 2011 Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament was one of Downs' best players on the pitch against Al Ahly until he was substituted after the restart due to a minor injury.

Jali has since recovered from the injury and he will be up against Al Ahly's Mali international Aliou Dieng in another must-watch midfield battle.

  • Themba Zwane, Mamelodi Sundowns, October 2021

    ATTACKING MIDFIELDER - Themba Zwane

The experienced playmaker captained Masandawana as they secured their biggest win of the season against Mathaithai.

Zwane also got himself a morale-boosting goal against the ABC Motsepe League side and he will be confident of finding the back of the net when he faces the Red Eagles.

  • Thabiso Kutumela, Mamelodi Sundowns, December 2021

    RIGHT FORWARD - Thabiso Kutumela

The former Orlando Pirates striker has rediscovered his scoring form having netted twice in their win over Mathaithai.

Kutumela will be hoping to be rewarded with a starting berth against Africa's biggest football club.

  • Bradley Ralani, Mamelodi Sundowns, February 2022

    LEFT FORWARD - Bradley Ralani

The 34-year-old winger was one of Masandawana's standout performers in midweek as he grabbed a goal and an assist.

Ralani is most likely to keep his place in the starting line-up having started against Al Ahly in North Africa.

  • Peter Shalulile, Mamelodi Sundowns, December 2021

    CENTRE FORWARD - Peter Shalulile

The reigning PSL Footballer of the Season, who provided an assist as Downs defeated Al Ahly in Egypt, was given a well-deserved rest against Mathaithai.

Having scored in each of his last two competitive games, Shalulile will be determined to continue his scoring form this weekend.
