Barcelona's long-time financial woes might now be at an end.

The club announced on Thursday announced a deal that will see them raise €267 million (£229m/$277m) from the sale of 10 per cent of their La Liga television rights to global investment firm Sixth Street Partners.

And while club president Joan Laporta stressed sustainable growth, they will now likely have the opportunity to flex their muscles in the transfer market this summer with a handful of high-profile signings.

Chiellini delighted to be lining up for new club LAFC


Juventus legend Giorgio Chiellini admits that he was surprised to get the call to move to MLS with "fantastic" Los Angeles FC.

Chiellini, 37, left Juve after 18 trophy-laden years at the end of the 2021-22 season, receiving a hero's send-off in his final game.

He will now start a new challenge in California alongside fellow new LAFC arrival Gareth Bale.

Man Utd could part with up to 15 players


The Manchester Evening News reports that as many as 15 senior players could depart Manchester United this summer.

The likes of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic have already left as free agents, with questions now being asked of how long Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Andreas Pereira and Anthony Martial will stick around.

Spurs close to sealing £50m Richarlison transfer


Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Richarlison from Everton, GOAL can confirm, with the Brazil international forward set to undergo a medical.

It appeared at one stage as though the 25-year-old would be heading to north London as a new addition at Arsenal, but the Gunners have turned their attention to alternative Samba stars such as Gabriel Jesus and Raphinha.

That has left a door open for Spurs to swoop in, with another proven Premier League performer being added to Antonio Conte’s ranks on the back of deals for Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma.

Andreas Pereira's one-year loan spell at Flamengo has ended, which means he is due to return to England, and there have been rumours of the Red Devils academy graduate attracting interest from Fulham and Crystal Palace, with £11 million ($13 million) deals circulating.

However, the Brazilian has expressed his preferred option at this stage would be to remain at Flamengo.
