Arsenal & Manchester City's next five games - How Premier League title rivals' upcoming fixtures compare

Arsenal have held an eight-point lead over Manchester City at the top the Premier League for most of January, but the Citizens reduced the gap to five points after a 3-0 home win against Wolves.

Mikel Arteta's men have won seven of their last eight league fixtures barring the goalless draw against Newcastle United, after which the Gunners clinched the North London derby with a 2-0 result over Tottenham and got the better of Manchester United in a five-goal thriller.

On the other hand, City have responded to the 2-1 Manchester derby defeat at the hands of Manchester United by beating Tottenham 4-2 but have played a game more than Arsenal after the Wolves win.

The sides are yet to play each other in the Premier League - which could potentially define the title race - and before they do, the two teams have several crucial fixtures to come.

Arsenal's next five fixtures

After suffering a FA Cup exit at the hands of Manchester City, Arsenal will be meeting the Citizens in the league on February 16. Before that, the Gunners face Everton and Brentford on February 4 and 11, respectively, with Aston Villa and Leicester City ties in February.

Man City's next five fixtures

The defending champions have league engagements against Tottenham (February 5) and Aston Villa (February 12) with an opportunity to keep the pressure on Arsenal before facing the current league leaders on February 16.

Pep Guardiola's men will also have their Champions League Round of 16 game against RB Leipzig among their next five games amid a trip to Nottingham Forest as well.
