Gladbach boss Daniel Farke has ruled out a January exit for goalkeeper Yann Sommer who is wanted by Bayern Munich.

"I'm totally relaxed because there are always discussions about good players. He's one of Europe's best goalkeepers. He has a contract until the summer and we have no intention at all of letting him go," he told Sport1.

"Why should we let such a goalkeeper go? There would have to be very, very good reasons for wanting to let such a quality player go. On the contrary - we want to extend the contract with Yann. There will be talks soon."

Real Betis have annouced that forward Juanmi has extended his contract with the club until 2026.

Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier has emerged as a transfer target for both Bayern Munich and Newcastle United.

RMC Sport report that Chelsea are also keen on the stopper but Leeds have no intention of selling in the January transfer window.

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche has offered an update on Randal Kolo Muani amid speculation the striker is wanted by Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

Krosche told Kicker that the club "will not sell" Kolo Muani in the January transfer window and added the club are hoping to keep hold of all of their top stars this winter.

Chelsea are trying to hijack Arsenal's move for Mykhaylo Mudryk with a late bid for the Ukrainian sensation, according to The Sun.

Shakhtar sporting director, Darijo Srna, is set to travel to London later this week and will meet the Blues for negotiations.

Arsenal have already made an offer for Mudryk but have not yet reached Shakhtar's asking price.

Manchester United are considering Olivier Giroud as a possible short-term option to solve their striking problems, according to Foot Mercato.

The Red Devils are thinking about a loan for the Frenchman but it seems unlikely AC Milan would agree as his contract expires in the summer.

Yann Sommer is getting closer to a move to Bayern Munich, reports Blick's Andreas Boeni.

The goalkeeper will sign a contract until at least 2025 and will compete with Manuel Neuer once the Germany international returns to fitness.

Brighton have activated an option to extend Leandro Trossard's deal at the club until 2024, as reported by Metro.

Trossard has attracted interest from clubs including Arsenal and Newcastle this season but will not now be able to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui has responded to speculation that Liverpool want to sign midfielder Matheus Nunes in the January transfer window.

He told reporters, "We can say that Matheus is our player, he’s a Wolves player and he’s so happy to be here”.

Aaron Ramsey has been recalled by Aston Villa following his loan spell at Norwich City.

The 19-year-old will continue his rehabilitation at Bodymoor Heath after picking up an injury in December.

Newcastle United will not continue to pursue Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram in January, according to Football Insider.

Eddie Howe wants to get either James Maddison from Leicester City or Christian Pulisic from Chelsea, despite Thuram being available for as little as £6m. He has scored 13 goals in 17 club games for Monchengladbach and his contract is set to expire next summer.

Liverpool continue to be interested in Matheus Nunes as reported by Sky Sports News.

Wolves value the midfielder at a price of over £50m but the Reds are not keen to pay that much and are willing to settle for around £44m. However, they are yet to make an approach to sign the Portuguese in January.

Arsenal will increase the bid to sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk, according to The Times.

The club had an initial bid of £55 million for Mudryk rejected as they want around £85 million fee. The North London club has already agreed to personal terms on a five-year deal.

Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag has acknowledged that the club needs a new striker after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

"There will be many games to follow, so I think there is a need for a new striker. We need one who can have an impact, otherwise you are just burning money and you don't strengthen the squad," he stated ahead of Tuesday's visit to Bournemouth.

"We have a good team when all are available. We have (a number nine), Anthony Martial, I'm really happy with his performances across many games.

"He has had a really good impact. If you see his minutes and the impact he has had it's been huge," he added..

Manchester United have made an offer for flying RB Leipzig winger Dani Olmo, according to Spanish newspaper Nacional.

The Spain international is seen as a possible solution to Man Utd's striker shortage, although the Red Devils could face competition from Bayern Munich. His former club Barcelona apparently wanted to sign him a year ago, but the move was vetoed by head coach Xavi.

Olmo could cost as much as £58m, but it remains to be seen what bid United have made at this stage.

Cristiano Ronaldo has a clause in his new Al Nassr contract that will allow him to play for Newcastle if they qualify for next season's Champions League, as reported by Marca.

The Portuguese superstar will supposedly be allowed to head to St James' Park on loan because the Magpies are are owned by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.

Chelsea are close to completing a deal with Benfica for World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Talks between the two clubs are now at an "advanced stage," with the Blues set to pay for the deal in three installments of €40 million.

Tottenham are on the lookout for replacements for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and manager Antonio Conte.

The Mirror report Spurs want to bring in a player who can provide serious competition for Lloris, while Conte's future is uncertain as he's out of contract at the end of the season.

Premier League trio Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelse are all keen on Joao Felix but don't want to pay Atletico's £10 million loan fee, according to the Evening Standard.

The clubs would also have to splash out £250,000-a-week on Felix's wages, while Atletico also want a purchase option of €100m included in the deal.

Rafael Leao is close to agreeing a new deal with AC Milan, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Chelsea are out of the race for the forward after deciding to invest heavily in Enzo Fernandez, while Manchester City are still in the running but are expected to miss out on the forward.
