Gladbach rule out Sommer exit
Gladbach boss Daniel Farke has ruled out a January exit for goalkeeper Yann Sommer who is wanted by Bayern Munich.
"I'm totally relaxed because there are always discussions about good players. He's one of Europe's best goalkeepers. He has a contract until the summer and we have no intention at all of letting him go," he told Sport1.
"Why should we let such a goalkeeper go? There would have to be very, very good reasons for wanting to let such a quality player go. On the contrary - we want to extend the contract with Yann. There will be talks soon."

Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier has emerged as a transfer target for both Bayern Munich and Newcastle United.
RMC Sport report that Chelsea are also keen on the stopper but Leeds have no intention of selling in the January transfer window.

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche has offered an update on Randal Kolo Muani amid speculation the striker is wanted by Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
Krosche told Kicker that the club "will not sell" Kolo Muani in the January transfer window and added the club are hoping to keep hold of all of their top stars this winter.

Chelsea are trying to hijack Arsenal's move for Mykhaylo Mudryk with a late bid for the Ukrainian sensation, according to The Sun.
Shakhtar sporting director, Darijo Srna, is set to travel to London later this week and will meet the Blues for negotiations.

Liverpool continue to be interested in Matheus Nunes as reported by Sky Sports News.
Wolves value the midfielder at a price of over £50m but the Reds are not keen to pay that much and are willing to settle for around £44m. However, they are yet to make an approach to sign the Portuguese in January.

Arsenal to increase bid for Mudryk
Arsenal will increase the bid to sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk, according to The Times.
The club had an initial bid of £55 million for Mudryk rejected as they want around £85 million fee. The North London club has already agreed to personal terms on a five-year deal.

Ten Hag admits need of a new striker
Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag has acknowledged that the club needs a new striker after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
"There will be many games to follow, so I think there is a need for a new striker. We need one who can have an impact, otherwise you are just burning money and you don't strengthen the squad," he stated ahead of Tuesday's visit to Bournemouth.
"We have a good team when all are available. We have (a number nine), Anthony Martial, I'm really happy with his performances across many games.
"He has had a really good impact. If you see his minutes and the impact he has had it's been huge," he added..
Man Utd to bid for Leipzig's Olmo
Manchester United have made an offer for flying RB Leipzig winger Dani Olmo, according to Spanish newspaper Nacional.
The Spain international is seen as a possible solution to Man Utd's striker shortage, although the Red Devils could face competition from Bayern Munich. His former club Barcelona apparently wanted to sign him a year ago, but the move was vetoed by head coach Xavi.
Olmo could cost as much as £58m, but it remains to be seen what bid United have made at this stage.
