FULL TIME - The ref blows his whistle and it is Urawa who have recorded a comprehensive 2-0 victory over Sydney FC who had their moments but were unable to capitalise on their opportunities.

A couple of terrific saves in quick succession from Janjetovic, the second a one handed bat away after a clever flick at goal from the corner kick from Abe.
Moriwaki with space at the edge of the box has time to measure the shot however he has blasted it over the crossbar.
Anderson blasts a shot from close range but Nishikawa manages to get his head in the way to deny the visitors an equaliser.
Not a great delivery inside the penalty area but Grant contests extremely well to win the corner for Sydnet FC.
Outstanding pace from Ljubijankic who beats Anderson to the ball but he can't control his shot at goal which is well wide and high of the mark.
A free kick to Sydney and the Urawa fans vent their displeasure toward the ref.
No substitutions at half time so both sides begin the second half with their respective starting XIs.

The sides make their way back out onto the pitch on an extremely chilly night in Saitama.
Sydney FC will be pleased with their efforts toward the end of the first half and will have some confidence going into the second 45 minutes.
HALF TIME - On the back of a completely dominant first twenty minutes, which yielded the only goal of the match so far, Urawa head to the rooms with a 1-0 lead.

Approaching half time and Sydney, having had the better of the past ten minutes, would desperately love to have an equaliser on the board before the break.
A stunning overhead shot from Makino is kept out by an even better goal line clearance from Naumoff - replays show that was awfully close to having crossed the line!
Slick counter attacking football from Urawa and they have won a corner to be taken by Umesaki.
A turnover in midfield creates an opening for Sydney however Nagata reads the play to perfection and cuts off the pass, seeing the ball safely over the sideline.
Sydney not only seeing a lot more of the football in the past few minutes but also are applying plenty of pressure when Urawa are in possession.
Hoole goes down inside the box with Sydney calling for the penalty but the ref is having none if it as play continues.
The past couple of minutes have been much better for Sydney with the visitors creating a couple of set piece opportunities.
Good field position here for Sydney FC with a free kick in front of goal.
A horrible mix up at the back and an error from Abe opens up the goal for Anderson but his shot is deflected wide. He screams for a handball but the referee is unmoved - a huge change there for Sydney to get on the board.
Zlatan keeps his feet but has dragged down Anderson in the process and conceded the free kick.
Sydney FC have strugged to gain possession and when they have had the ball it has been under extreme pressure.
Conditions are very cool here in Saitama and so far appear to be suiting the home side down to the ground.

GOAL URAWA - An awful mixup at the back from the Sydney FC defence gifts Yuki Muto a shot at goal and he makes no mistake, rolling the ball past the keeper and into the net. It is Urawa Red Diamonds who take a 1-0 lead.
