St. Mary's Stadium

That's all for today, goodbye!
Southampton are back to winning ways, and the three points lift them above Chelsea into seventh. Next up for them is a trip to Wolves. Chelsea just couldn't find their rhythm today and Tuchel will be hoping they can bounce back against West Ham on Saturday.
Southampton's first-half comeback sees them beat Chelsea 2-1. Sterling opened the scoring with a close-range tap-in, but Lavia rifled in his first Saints goal just five minutes later to level things up. Armstrong then fired in what turned out to be the winner in first-half stoppage time. Southampton's great performance carried over into the second half and they could've had a third if not for a brilliant goal-line clearance by Silva to deny Salisu.
90' + 5' Mendy is waved forward for a corner, but it's a poor cross from Ziyech and Elyounoussi hooks it long upfield. Cucurella doesn't realise that Ward-Prowse is sprinting to close him down, and there's a nervy moment before the Saints captain fouls him.
90' + 4' Chelsea are getting a bit frantic with their play as they try to find a late equaliser. They manage to work it out to Sterling on the left, but Walker-Peters gets in front of him to stop a cross from going into the box.
90' + 2' There's a nervy moment for Chelsea as Silva's attempted flick-on almost sets Adams in behind. The forward does get to it first, but Koulibaly recovers well to stop him from having a run at goal.
90' Southampton are working hard off the ball to stop Chelsea from getting into the box. Pulisic makes another run down the right, but Djenepo gets himself in front to block his progress.
88' Koulibaly chooses to go long this time and Chilwell cushions a header down to Sterling. Again, he takes too long on the ball, and three Southampton defenders crowd him off it.
A. Armstrong
86' Final change for Southampton now and it's a defensive one. Armstrong goes off, with Lyanco replacing him.
84' Southampton are dropping a little deeper as they try to protect the three points. Chelsea work it from left to right, where Pulisic curls in a cross, but Koulibaly can't control it.
82' GOOD SAVE! Chelsea are starting to up the pressure here and Sterling lifts a great cross into the far post. Broja leaps highest to nod his effort towards the near post, but Bazunu pushes it away.
C. Pulišić
Yellow Card
80' Pulisic tried to take it past Armstrong, but lost out to the winger, and then fouled Djenepo in his attempts to win it back. He's shown a yellow card.
78' Southampton win another free-kick on the right and again, Ward-Prowse whips in a good delivery. He's looking for Adams, who's peeled away to the far post, but it's well defended by Koulibaly.
76' Pulisic loses the ball deep in his own half and Elyounoussi comes away with it. He rides two challenges as he drags it out to the right before he topples over Chilwell.
74' OFF THE LINE! It's another good delivery from Ward-Prowse on the corner and Salisu loses his marker on the edge of the six-yard box. He thumps a header on goal and Silva manages to scoop it off the line with a backheel flick.
M. Djenepo
R. Perraud
73' Southampton are making their second change before they take their corner. Perraud goes off for Djenepo.
71' Bella-Kotchap was caught on the side of the head by a trailing arm from Cucurella and he's stayed down in need of treatment. He's okay to carry on though.
69' It's a good throughball down the right by Diallo to pick out Elyounoussi and he flicks it past Chilwell with his first touch. Before he can turn though, Silva gets across to dispossess him.
B. Chilwell
66' And lastly, Chilwell comes on in place of Jorginho.
A. Broja
César Azpilicueta
66' Azpilicueta is also making way, with Broja coming on to face the side for whom he played on loan last season.
C. Pulišić
K. Havertz
66' Chelsea are making a triple change as they look to get back into this game. Havertz is the first to go off, with Pulisic on for him.
66' CHANCE! Chelsea start to move it a little quicker and Azpilicueta plays a clever one-two with Ziyech. He clips a good cross into the middle for Havertz, but he glances his header over the bar.
J. Ward-Prowse
Yellow Card
64' Ward-Prowse clips the back of Ziyech's heels to stop him from breaking on the counter and earns himself a booking.
62' Sterling's frustration gets the better of him as he clips Bella-Kotchap, giving away a free-kick down the right. Ward-Prowse switches it out to Perraud on the opposite flank, but he can't pick out a team-mate.
J. Aribo
R. Lavia
60' Lavia does make his way straight off the pitch after receiving treatment, and Aribo comes on in his place.
58' Chelsea were breaking quickly on the counter and Lavia pulled up holding his hamstring. He limped back into position, but Southampton may have a problem here as he's receiving treatment.
57' Lavia (18y 236d) is the fourth-youngest player to score a Premier League goal for Southampton after Michael Obafemi (18y 169d), Dexter Blackstock (18y 177d) and Sam Gallagher (18y 181d).
55' Cucurella swings a cross in from the left and Sterling chests it down before Perraud stops his run. There are big shouts for a penalty from the Chelsea fans, but there wasn't enough in it.
M. Salisu
Yellow Card
53' Salisu steps across Sterling to block his run and picks up the first yellow card of the game.
52' BLOCK! Perraud's pull-back is behind Ward-Prowse, but Elyounoussi is hovering in space behind him. He dives forward to get his head on it and Cucurella skids in to block it. The Norwegian gets a second attempt, but he volleys it straight at Mendy.
50' Elyounoussi has Silva tight to his back, so he improvises with an overhead cross to Diallo on the right. He knocks it onto Ward-Prowse, but his first-time cross is blocked by Koulibaly.
48' Lavia can't keep hold of the ball and Cucurella threads it through for Sterling. He takes too long over the cross though and Bella-Kotchap recovers well to slide in and block it.
M. Kovačić
R. Loftus-Cheek
46' There's a change for Chelsea at the break as Kovacic comes on for the second half to replace Loftus-Cheek, due to a knee problem.
46' Southampton get us back under way for the second half!
Hasenhuttl will be very pleased with his side's performance so far, especially with their reaction to going behind. They've created some great chances, and he'll be hoping for more of the same. Chelsea have had good opportunities of their own, but they've looked shaky at times, and Tuchel might be thinking about changes for the second half.
Southampton come from behind to lead Chelsea 2-1 at the break. Sterling opened the scoring for Chelsea after a lightning-quick counter-attack when he kept his cool to fire into an empty net. It took just five minutes for Southampton to equalise, with Lavia rocketing his first Saints goal past Mendy. In stoppage time at the end of the half, Armstrong got their second, finishing off a brilliant team move by firing into the top corner.
R. Perraud
45' + 1' Perraud didn't get his head up after getting the ball from Ward-Prowse. He just drilled a low, hard cross into the box and found Armstrong.
A. Armstrong
45' + 1' ARMSTRONG SCORES! It's a wonderful move by Southampton! Ward-Prowse pulls back into space and ignores the shouts to shoot from the crowd and sweeps it out to Perraud. He fizzes his cross in and Armstrong takes a touch before firing it into the back of the net with the help of a deflection off Koulibaly. 2-1 Southampton!
44' Jorginho wins the ball back in a tight spot and pokes it into Loftus-Cheek. He has more time than he thinks and rushes his pass into Ziyech, gifting the ball straight to Lavia.
42' Only against West Ham (14 - eight goals, six assists) has Sterling been involved in more Premier League goals than he has against Southampton (12 - eight goals, four assists).
40' Southampton are enjoying a good spell of possession here and they work it back to Bazunu who goes long to Adams again. As usual, Adams flicks it on, but none of his team-mates are behind him.
38' Armstrong slid in and caught Ziyech on the ankle with a late challenge. The winger is receiving treatment on it, but he's quickly back to his feet and he'll be able to carry on.
36' Adams sweeps it out to Armstrong on the left and he makes a driving run into the box. He has Ward-Prowse on the overlap but goes for goal himself, rolling his shot straight at Mendy.
34' Elyounoussi hopefully volleys a cross to the edge of the box and Armstrong initially does well to bring it down. Azpilicueta recovers well to put the pressure on him and it's a tame shot into Mendy's gloves in the end.
32' Salisu puts another long throw-in into the box and Koulibaly just flicks it away from Diallo at the near post. He gets a lot of distance on the clearance, with Walker-Peters picking it up, but he can't pick out a team-mate.
30' Chelsea are struggling to cope with Southampton's high press at the moment. Armstrong picks Azpilicueta's pocket but then overhits the throughball to Ward-Prowse and Silva hooks it away.
R. Lavia
28' LAVIA EQUALISES! It's a brilliant goal! It's not the best corner from Ward-Prowse, with Havertz stretching to block it, but his interception only goes as far as Lavia. He sets himself with his first touch before firing his shot past Mendy and into the bottom-right corner for his first Southampton goal. 1-1!
27' Bazunu goes for the direct approach again, with Adams flicking it on to Armstrong. He touches it back to the forward, and he slides it through for Ward-Prowse, but Jorginho gets there first to put it out for a corner.
25' It's a loose pass out from the back by Loftus-Cheek and Perraud quickly latches onto it. The space opens up ahead of him so he decides to go it alone, but he fires his effort straight at Silva.
R. Sterling
23' STERLING SCORES! Chelsea break on the counter again, with Mount leading the charge for the Blues this time. He plays a one-two with Havertz on the left wing and unselfishly squares it to Sterling. Perraud slides in to cut it out, but the ball bounces up nicely for Sterling, and he slots it into the empty net. 1-0 Chelsea!
22' GREAT BLOCK! Loftus-Cheek cuts out Southampton's attack and sets Chelsea on a lightning-quick counter. Sterling has Mount to his left, but chooses to go it alone and Bella-Kotchap makes a brilliant tackle to stop him from taking a shot.
20' Chelsea are starting to find their rhythm now and they're keeping Southampton penned back in their own half. Sterling has made a run to the far post, but Cucurella's cross is played behind him.
18' Salisu puts a long throw-in into the box and Adams flicks it on at the near post. It hits Havertz, which catches out Bella-Kotchap and he misses the ball as he tries to volley on the turn.
16' Chelsea are moving it much quicker upfield now and Havertz picks out Mount with a lovely flick. He pulls it back to Ziyech on the penalty spot, but again, the shot is lacking and it's a comfortable save for Bazunu.
14' SAVE! Jorginho cuts Southampton's midfield open with a great throughball, and Mount helps it onto Sterling with a similar pass. His first touch takes him around Bella-Kotchap but his tame shot is straight at Bazunu.
12' Sterling holds off Salisu long enough to touch it into Ziyech, but he forces Sterling wide with the return pass. He still manages to clip a good cross into the box, but Bazunu gets to it first.
10' Chelsea have scored in each of their last 17 Premier League away games against Southampton, winning 6-0 in this exact fixture last season. It's the longest scoring streak one team has against another away from home in the history of the competition.
8' Salisu plays himself out of trouble well down the left before slipping it through to Armstrong on the left. His cross is blocked, and Ward-Prowse's resulting corner is headed away by Silva.
6' Again, Bazunu goes long and it's another good collection by Adams. He sweeps it out to Walker-Peters on the right this time, and he breezes past Havertz before squaring into the box. He's looking for Elyounoussi, but Silva cuts it out.
4' The first shot of the game comes from Southampton following Bazunu's long clearance. Adams chests it down before laying it off to Elyounoussi, but his shot from the edge of the box is tamely hit into Mendy's gloves.
2' Southampton win it back deep in their own half and Ward-Prowse is picked out in space down the right. He whips an early cross into the box towards Adams, but Koulibaly gets in the way of it for Chelsea.
1' Sterling gets the game under way for Chelsea!
