Commentary

That's all for today, goodbye.
Next up, Porto will look to keep their faint hopes of winning the Primeira Liga alive when they travel to Braga, with Inter turning their attention to Serie A with a home game against Juventus. However, they will have a close eye on the Champions League quarter-final draw, which takes place later this week.
Porto hit the post and bar in stoppage time but couldn't score as Inter progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Throwing everything at the Serie A outfit needing a goal, Martinez missed the target with an overhead kick before Marcano saw his effort cleared off the line by Dumfries. With 95 minutes on the clock, Taremi saw his point-blank effort pushed onto the post by Onana seconds before Grujic hit the bar with a looping header. In a chaotic end to the game, Pepe Aquino was also shown a second yellow card for a reckless tackle, with Porto going down to 10 men in both legs. The home side also had the better chances in the first half, but Uribe's deflected effort sailed just wide and Evanilson's goal-bound shot from a tight angle was blocked by Dimarco.
90' + 8' FULL-TIME: PORTO 0-0 INTER
90' + 7' RED CARD! Pepe Aquino has been sent off after receiving a second yellow card for a reckless tackle.
90' + 5' POST AND BAR! Porto couldn't have come any close to an equaliser than that! Marcano heads the ball into the path of Taremi who directs his effort towards the bottom corner. Onana gets down quickly to push it against the post. The ball then goes back into the box from the left flank. Grujic leaps the highest and directs a header towards the goal, but his attempt clatters against the bar.
90' + 4' OFF THE LINE! Pepe Aquino drives the ball into the box with De Vrij poking it away. It comes out to Marcano, who twists on it before unleashing a low shot. His effort beats Onana but is cleared off the line by Dumfries.
90' + 3' WIDE! Big chance for Porto. Marcano heads the ball back into the box after a cross was cleared away. Martinez is free in the middle, but his overhead kick misses the target.
90' + 2' Marcano tries to chip the ball over the Inter defence and into the box with Galeno rushing in, but he puts too much power on it with Onana there to collect it.
90' + 1' There will be seven minutes of additional time.
F. Acerbi
Yellow Card
89' Acerbi is given a yellow card for time wasting.
89' Can Taremi make the difference for Porto in the final few minutes? He has been directly involved in seven goals in six appearances in the Champions League this season (five goals, two assists); this is the most goal involvements of anyone playing for a club outside of Europe’s big five leagues.
87' Namaso spins past D'Ambrosio in the box and makes the most of a slip from Skriniar. However, his cross goes straight at Onana with the goalkeeper hitting the floor.
D. Namaso
M. Uribe
85' Porto are adding extra attacking intent to their midfield, replacing Uribe with Namaso for the final five minutes.
Wendell
Z. Sanusi
85' Conceicao makes a straight swap at left-back with Wendell coming on for Sanusi.
85' Up the other end, Galeno's tame attempt is saved by Onana. Both sides have lacked a clinical edge in this game.
84' Dumfries gets his head onto a corner from the right, but his downward attempt goes straight at Costa.
82' Galeno is throwing his hands in the direction of the referee. He wants a free-kick after going down under the challenge of Dumfries with the winger turning away from the Inter man, but nothing is given.
M. Brozović
N. Barella
80' Inzaghi makes his fifth and final change of the game. Brozovic replaces Barella to shore up the midfield.
M. Škriniar
M. Darmian
80' Inter make another two changes. Struggling to get around the pitch for the last few minutes, Darmian is replaced by Skriniar.
Pepê Aquino
Yellow Card
79' Pepe Aquino is the first Porto player to go into the book after pulling D'Ambrosio to the floor. He didn't want to let the Inter man get into the box after losing the ball.
77' Calhanoglu fires over from inside the box.
76' SAVE! Onana makes a crucial stop to keep Inter ahead on aggregate. Players challenge for the ball in the air with it falling to Grujic. Shooting on the turn, his low effort is claimed by the goalkeeper.
76' Grujic is unhappy as another Inter player hits the deck. This time Dumfries is down after blocking a cross. After some treatment, he is back on the pitch.
S. de Vrij
A. Bastoni
74' Bastoni is down and will not be able to continue. De Vrij replaces him at centre-back for the final 16 minutes.
73' Darmian is briefly down before getting back up after blocking a cross from Galeno. However, he is not moving about freely.
Toni Martínez
Evanilson
71' Evanilson has had a quiet second half and is now being replaced. Martinez is on.
André Franco
S. Eustáquio
70' Porto make their first change of the game. It comes in the midfield with Franco coming on for Eustaquio to provide fresh legs.
D. D'Ambrosio
F. Dimarco
70' Inter make their second substitution, Dimarco is replaced by D'Ambrosio who will play on the left side of the midfield.
R. Lukaku
E. Džeko
70' Dzeko is taken off immediately after receiving a booking. Lukaku replaces him in the attack with Inzaghi hoping he can put the tie to bed.
E. Džeko
Yellow Card
69' Dzeko is given a yellow card after throwing an elbow in the face of Pepe Aquino. The Inter man is unhappy as he feels he was brushing off the challenge of the Porto right-back when dribbling away with the ball.
67' Pepe Aquino does well to dribble past Dzeko and Dimarco to get to the byline but is crowded out by a number of Inter defenders who get back to block the space he was running into.
66' Galeno bursts into the box before having his shot blocked by Darmian. The Porto winger is unlucky, with the ball deflecting back off him and out for a goal-kick.
64' Dimarco cannot get his header on target from inside the box after getting on the end of Calhanoglu's cross.
62' Martinez holds up the ball well, setting it back to Dimarco who switches it to Barella. The midfielder then plays a one-two with Dumfries before having his shot from inside the box blocked.
60' Porto have lost three of their five matches against Inter in the Champions League, though all three of those defeats came away from home; at the Estadio do Dragao they have earned one win and one draw against Inter.
58' Pepe Aquino and Evanilson play a quick one-two to allow the right-back to get into space down the flank. The Brazilan defender then tries to put a cross in the box, but Dimarco is there to block.
56' Taremi makes the most of a loose pass and breaks down the middle of the pitch. He tries to run free of the Inter defence, but Darmian gets across to slide the ball away from the striker.
54' Porto have passed the ball around for the last couple of minutes. Inter are not putting them under pressure and are happy to let them move it around their backline and wings outside of their defensive third.
52' Barella dribbles the ball to the edge of the box before curling his right-footed effort wide of the post.
51' Inter get into Porto's half for the first time since the restart. Bastoni tries to switch a deep free-kick to Dumfries who rushes into the box, but Marcano heads it away.
50' Eustaquio looks for Marcano with a curling free-kick from the left, but it bounces out for a goal-kick.
49' Galeno's low free-kick from the edge of the box is blocked with Eustáquio's rebound also stopped by the Inter defence who get out quickly.
48' Eustaquio's cross is poked away by Martinez and then Dumfries. The ball goes out to Uribe on the edge of the box who volleys wide.
47' Bastoni goes in late on Evanilson on the right flank. Porto have a chance to put the ball in the box.
47' Porto have lost four of their last five Champions League matches when going into the break level (winning one) while Inter have won four of their last five UCL games when drawing at half-time (losing one).
46' Porto get the ball rolling once again. They need to score a goal to keep their Champions League campaign alive.
Porto have been good in the first half, but need to score at least once to take the game to extra-time. They have passed the ball around their defence well, but need to speed up their build-up play and put Inter under pressure. They have regularly wasted possession with direct passes forward and should look to keep it on the floor and play it down the wings. As for Inter, they will be satisfied with the opening 45 minutes. Dumfries and Dimarco always pose a threat on the wings and Barella's ability on the ball means they always have someone to move possession forward, even if they have not had many chances to attack.
Porto have had the better chances but have failed to break down a tough Inter defence with the game goalless. Uribe almost got the home side off to a great start with a powerful effort from distance just three minutes in, but his strike deflected just wide of the goal. Onana then made a simple save to deny Eustaquio before Evanilson had their best opportunity to score. The Brazilian raced onto a smart pass from Grujic, but his goal-bound shot was blocked by Dimarco. Dzeko had Inter's only clear chance inside the first 45 minutes, but Costa made a routine stop to deny the former Manchester City striker.
45' + 4' HALF-TIME: PORTO 0-0 INTER
45' + 3' WIDE! Pepe Aquino gets space on the right and flashes the ball across the goal with Eustáquio flying in. It goes just past the Porto man who slides in but cannot get there.
45' + 2' Porto give away the ball in their own third with Martinez skipping over the challenge of Marcano. However, nobody is there with him, forcing the Argentina international to shoot from a tight angle. Next to the byline, it was always going to be tough to score, with Costa making a simple save.
45' + 1' There will be three minutes of additional time.
45' Martinez is closed down by two Porto players and has his back to the goal, but is able to flick the ball down the right flank to Barella who runs free. The midfielder waits for options before crossing towards Dzeko, but it is too far in front of the striker.
43' Inter have not created many chances in the first half and have been behind the ball for most of the game. They have won just one of their eight matches away to Portuguese sides in major European competitions (drawing three, losing four), losing on each of their last two visits, though not since September 2006 against Sporting CP.
41' PENALTY SHOUT! Galeno wants a penalty after Dumfries nudges him to the floor just inside the box, but the referee waves away his claims and lets the game continue.
40' BLOCK! Dimarco with a huge stop. Porto play the ball neatly around the outside of Inter's box before Grujic slides a throughball down the right to Evanilson. He looks to have a clear shot at goal, but Dimarco sprints across to send the ball wide of the goal.
38' Eustaquio's deep free-kick from the right is met by Grujic before being passed away by Mkhitaryan to Dimarco.
36' Dzeko moves out to the right flank and tries to curl a cross into the box, but it goes straight at Costa who catches the ball.
35' Porto have been patient with the ball at times, but have regularly wasted possession by going direct with their passes down the wing. Inter's defence have been able to deal with it every time.
M. Darmian
Yellow Card
33' Darmian receives the first yellow card of the game after colliding with Galeno. He stopped Porto from breaking forward and has no complaints about his booking.
32' Calhanoglu takes a free-kick quickly and tries to switch the play out to Dimarco who bursts forward down the left. Cardoso jumps to head the ball in the air to take it away from the Inter man before playing it back to the goalkeeper.
30' Barella has been instrumental for Inter so far, this time laying the ball down the right flank for Dumfries to run onto. Up against Sanusi, he is tackled by the left-back with it going back off him and out for a goal-kick.
28' Taremi drifts out to the left wing to receive the ball before driving into the box. He looks to curl his effort around Dumfries who closes him down but shoots well wide.
27' Bastoni dribbles forward with the ball under little pressure from the Porto defence and arrives at the edge of the box. He puts a cross in from the left, but it is knocked away by Sanusi.
25' Dzeko holds up the ball well and plays it inside to Mkhitaryan who breaks through the centre of the pitch. The former Arsenal man then spreads it down the left to Dimarco, but his cross is cleared away. The ball comes out to Barella, but his shot is tame.
23' Taremi is Porto's key man, but the striker has had just eight touches so far with most of Porto's attacks breaking down on the wing before the ball reaches the middle of the pitch.
21' Inter have their first shot of the game through Dzeko. The away side break forward through Barella who slides the ball to the left with Dzeko rushing in. From a tight angle, his effort is pushed behind by Costa.
19' SAVE! Onana makes the first stop of the game. Galeno pokes the ball back to Eustaquio with Bastoni coming in to make the tackle. He takes one touch before shooting towards the bottom corner with Onana getting down to make a routine save.
17' Pepe Aquino curls the ball down the right flank with Bastoni heading the ball up in the air with Evanilson challenging him. Inter are unable to keep possession with Porto passing it back to their defence and rebuilding the attack.
15' Dumfries and Darmian have done well so far to stop Porto from progressing. The home side keep feeding the ball down the left wing with Galeno running at them, but he has been unable to make an impact.
13' Barella spins past Uribe and moves into Porto's half, but controls the ball with his hand and gives away a free-kick.
11' Galeno drives the ball down the left and into Inter's half. He dribbles past Barella but is tackled by Dumfries who gets back to make a recovery tackle.
9' Porto are behind in the tie but will be confident that they can turn the score in their favour. They have won each of their last four home matches in Europe against Italian clubs, beating Roma, Juventus, Milan and Lazio in succession. The last Italian side to defeat them away from home are Juventus in February 2017. They have had the only shot of the game so far.
7' Evanilson is back on his feet and will be able to continue.
6' Evanilson is down after blocking a pass forward from Bastoni. He is down and receiving treatment with his right leg outstretched.
5' Dimarco gets to the byline and puts a low cross in from the left, but Cardoso sweeps it away for a throw-in.
3' WIDE! Porto almost score the opener out of nothing! The ball bounces in front of Uribe outside the box with the midfielder lashing a deflected effort just wide of the post. Onana was rushing across his line but would not have got there if the shot was on target.
2' Inter have been the better side in the opening couple of minutes and have attacked down the left flank through Dimarco. A couple of his early crosses have been cleared away by Marcano and Cardoso.
1' Inter get this Champions League game under way. They will progress to the quarter-finals if they avoid defeat.
Otavio was sent off for Porto in the first leg, earning the Portuguese side their 22nd red card in the Champions League; only Juventus have been shown more red cards in the competition’s history (27).
As for Inter, Simone Inzaghi makes five alterations to the team that lost to Spezia. The first comes in the goalkeeping position, with Onana replacing Handanovic who goes to the bench. Darmian drops down from the wing to centre-back with D'Ambrosio out of the team, meaning that Dumfries moves into the space vacated by the former Manchester United man. Calhanoglu is picked ahead of Brozovic in the middle of Inter’s five-man midfield and Dimarco starts on the left instead of Robin Gosens who is injured. Lukaku is also replaced by Dzeko in the attack despite scoring in the first leg.
Porto make six changes to the team that beat Estoril Praia last time out. Pepe Aquino comes in at right-back with Joao Mario out of the squad. Marcano starts at centre-back and captains the side, meaning that Pepe misses out. There is also a straight swap in the midfield with Uribe replacing Franco. Evanilson and Galeno are named on the wings. Namaso moves onto the bench with Otavio out through suspension. Finally, Taremi leads the Porto attack instead of Martinez.

Inter will progress to the Champions League quarter-finals if they avoid defeat against Porto. However, they have struggled to perform away from San Siro, losing two and drawing one of their last three games. Despite their difficulties on the road, they will take confidence from their record in the competition when leading after the first leg. Inter have progressed from four of their five two-legged Champions League knockout ties when winning the first match, only being eliminated from this position in 2005-06 by Manuel Pellegrini’s Villarreal.
Romelu Lukaku came off the bench to score the only goal in the first leg to give Inter a narrow lead in the tie. His strike on 86 minutes came after Porto’s Otavio was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Hakan Calhanoglu, with Sergio Conceicao’s side unable to stop a constant stream of Inter attacks. Since their defeat to the Serie A outfit, Porto have won two of their last three games in the Primeira Liga, scoring six times in the process. Porto have been eliminated from six of their seven two-legged Champions League knockout ties when losing the first leg, only progressing from this position in 2018-19 against Roma.
