The league stage of the 2021/22 Indian Super League (ISL) has come to an end and Jamshedpur FC have been crowned the champions of the League Winners' Shield.

Coach Owen Coyle is fondly known as 'Miracle Man' in Indian football due to his performance with Chennaiyin FC in the 2019/20 season where he miraculously pulled them up from the bottom of the table and guided them to the final. He has once again weaved his magic at Jamshedpur and won his first title in the country.

One aspect that Coyle has guaranteed is the improvement of young players. Under Chennaiyin FC, the likes of Lallianzuala Chhangte, Edwin Vanspaul, Anirudh Thapa, Vishal Kaith, Laldinliana Renthlei all came under the sptotlight. It has been the case at Jamshedpur as well, with the likes of Boris Singh, Jitendra Singh, Ritwik Das and more shining.

The 55-year-old coach has a history of moulding talent. He has managed clubs like Burnley, Bolton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers and had the same effect there as well.

During his time in the Premier League, the manager had the privilege of working with some of the talents who went on to become big names later in their career.

From the likes of Jack Wilshere, Daniel Sturridge to Gary Cahill and Marcos Alonso, several star players have plied their trade under his tutelage.

Also, players like Andre Bikey (NorthEast United, Jamshedpur FC and ATK), Danny Fox (East Bengal), Jussi Jääskeläinen (ATK) and Riga Mustapha (Pune FC) played under Coyle who later in their career joined Indian clubs.

    The former Arsenal prodigy spent six months at Bolton Wanderers on loan from the Gunners during the 2009/10 season. In fact, he was one of the first signings of Owen Coyle at the club after the manager joined them in January 2010. Wilshere later played for West Ham and AFC Bournemouth and currently plies his trade with Danish club AGF.

    The former Chelsea defender and England joined the Blues from Bolton in 2012 after spending four seasons at the club. Cahill worked under Owen Coyle for the final two seasons of his stay at Bolton. The 36-year-old defender currently plies his trade at Championship side AFC Bournemouth.

    The former Sweden international played at Bolton Wanderers from 2008 to 2011 and in the final one-and-a-half years, plied his trade under the tutelage of Coyle. He later played for clubs like Galatasaray and Norwich City. Elmander played 85 international matches and he retired from football in 2017.

    The Spanish international, who graduated from Real Madrid's academy, played at Bolton on loan under Owen Coyle during the 2010/11 season. Rodrigo Moreno has appeared in 27 international matches for his national side and he currently plays in the Premier League for Leeds United.
