The qualifying campaign for Euro 2024 won't wrap up until November but numerous nations are on the verge of booking their tickets for Germany, while several strong candidates have already emerged to lift the trophy next summer.
Reigning champions Italy are optimistic about their prospects of being around to defend their title, despite missing out on the 2022 World Cup, while the beaten finalists at Wembley two years ago, England, look more than capable of going one step better this time around.
France are looking formidable once again, though, while Portugal are absolutely flying under new coach Roberto Martinez. Obviously, Spain, Croatia, Belgium and Netherlands will fancy their chances but what about the hosts, Germany, who have suffered a surprise decline over the past few years?
