8th Finals
UEFA Europa League

Milan have qualified for the Champions League knockout stage for the first time since 2013-14 then. They can look forward to finding out who they'll face in the round of 16. That's all for now. Goodbye!
This result means that Milan finish second in Group E with 10 points, three behind Chelsea who've beaten Dinamo 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. Salzburg stay third and will drop into the Europa League. It's the first time that the Rossoneri have won back-to-back Champions League games since October 2011. They're not a vintage Milan side but they're still very good.
Milan have secured their place in the last 16 of this season's Champions League! The Italian champions were lucky to have the lead over Salzburg at half-time, but scored three goals in the second half to see their visitors off. Giroud was heavily involved for the hosts, grabbing two goals and two assists.
O. Giroud
90' + 2' Giroud bags himself another assist to cap an influential display. The Frenchman's been at the heart of all of Milan's goals.
Junior Messias
90' + 1' GOAL! AC MILAN 4-0 RB SALZBURG! Messias adds gloss to Milan's fine victory! The substitute reaches Giroud's forward pass on the counter and jinks inside from the right to fire left-footed into the top left corner. Kohn's unable to keep the shot out.
90' There'll be two more minutes of this. Milan have been a cut above Salzburg since half-time.
88' Sesko turns and shoots from inside the D. The Slovenian watches his effort rise over the crossbar. It's no threat to Tatarusanu.
M. Gabbia
P. Kalulu
86' Milan make a late substitution. Gabbia replaces Kalulu.
84' Tatarusanu races off his line to claim Koita's misguided header. Salzburg don't look like scoring now.
82' Kohn hands Milan a corner down their left. It doesn't trouble Salzburg and Pobega can't keep the ball in play.
80' Milan are letting Salzburg take a few more potshots at this point. Tatarusanu catches Sesko's drive from the right of the box. Sucic blazes over from further out.
78' Sucic has a pop at goal with his left foot from outside the box. It bounces harmlessly wide of the right-hand post.
F. Ballo
T. Hernández

C. De Ketelaere
R. Krunić
78' Milan take the chance to bring on more fresh legs too. Off goes one of their goalscorers Krunic. On comes De Ketelaere.
A. Ulmer
M. Wöber
77' Wober is the latest Salzburg player to leave the pitch. Their captain Ulmer replaces him at left-back.
S. Koïta
N. Okafor
77' Okafor heads off. He might have scored earlier but for Kalulu's intervention. Koita comes on for Salzburg.
75' Kalulu's hassled by Wober in hs own half and gets a free-kick.
73' Milan are keeping the ball more easily now. Salzburg's energy levels have dipped.
71' Tonali misplaces a pass straight to Kjaergaard in front of his own box. The Dane hastily lashes wide of the right-hand post. That's Salzburg's best chance for a while.
T. Pobega
I. Bennacer
69' Bennacer also goes off. On comes Pobega for Milan.
Junior Messias
Rafael Leão
69' Leao leaves the pitch to a warm reception from the Milan fans. Messias replaces him.
68' Milan are preparing to make changes. They can afford to now they've wrapped the win up. Meanwhile, Kameri gets a routine save out of Tatarusanu with a low drive, and Dedic fires over from the right of the box.
66' Leao hits the crossbar from close range! The Milan forward has been too good for Salzburg all game and is unfortunate not to score with a rising effort from inside the box. Hernandez picked him out with a perfectly placed low cross.
D. Kameri
L. Gourna-Douath
64' The stricken Gourna-Douath is substituted. Kameri takes his place in midfield for Salzburg.
63' Gourna-Douath goes down off the ball. The midfielder appears to have injured himself while playing a pass upfield.

L. Gourna-Douath
Yellow Card

O. Giroud
57' GOAL! AC MILAN 3-0 RB SALZBURG! This game's over as a contest now. Leao goes on a mazy run from left to right before picking his cross. Salzburg's centre-backs can't get their feet together and Giroud smashes the loose ball into the net to grab his second goal of the match.

O. Giroud
46' Giroud knew the angle was against him so was right to look to find Krunic instead. Salzburg have played well but it'll be a miracle if they can come back to win from here.
R. Krunić
46' GOAL! AC MILAN 2-0 RB SALZBURG! Second place in Group E may well be Milan's now! Giroud nods Rebic's right-wing cross back across goal and Krunic heads it in from close range.
46' Milan get the second half started. They're 45 minutes from finishing second in Group E as things stand.
O. Solet
46' Salzburg make a half-time substitution. Bernardo replaces Solet at centre-back.
Salzburg had 76 per cent possession in the last 15 minutes of that first half. They've had just one shot fewer than Milan's nine. Stefano Pioli won't want his players to bow to pressure and sit back after the break. He'll want his team to grab a second goal that would all but seal their last-16 place.
An energetic first half comes to an end. Milan lead through Giroud's header from a corner, but Salzburg have caused the Italian champions plenty of problems at the back. If the visitors can equalise early in the second half, a win really isn't beyond them. More to come!
45' Salzburg end the half in the ascendancy. Adamu hits Kjaergaard's left-wing cross at Tatarusanu, who makes himself big. The Austrians end up getting a free-kick down their left which the Milan goalkeeper punches clear. That's all for now.

31' Bennacer's effort from outside the box is blocked. Tonali forces Kohn to make a comfortable save, shooting from a similar distance.
29' Okafor latches onto a sliderule pass through the centre. Kalulu slides in and takes him out before he can beat Tatarusanu. A quick VAR check confirms it isn't a foul.
27' Krunic gets back to defend and is pushed over by Dedic in his eagerness to win the ball. Milan free-kick.
25' Hernandez drives to the edge of the box and blasts a shot at goal that Kohn can only spill in front of him. Giroud promptly buries it into the net, but the offside flag goes straight up.
23' Giroud's caught by surprise as a cross unexpectedly lands to him in the penalty area. The Milan forward shins it high and wide and grins wryly.
22' Giroud takes a tumble in the box but there's no suggestion of a penalty. Bennacer fires over from distance shortly after.
20' Rebic takes on Pavlovic down the right for Milan and gets a throw-in out of it.
18' Salzburg are undeterred by going behind. They're driving forward at every opportunity. Adamu receives a pass to feet in the box and swivels on the spot to shoot straight into the arms of Tatarusanu. The 21-year-old fires off-target at the near post from Wober's cross seconds later.
16' That's Giroud's third Champions League goal of the season. He's scored in consecutive appearances in this competition for the first time since December 2020 for Chelsea.
S. Tonali
14' Tonali whipped the ball into the box with menace, and there was no doubt that Giroud would get his head on the end of it. Milan will be glad to have the lead, given how open this game has been so far.
O. Giroud
14' GOAL! AC MILAN 1-0 RB SALZBURG! Giroud nods in unmarked from Tonali's corner. This goal is as easy as they come!
13' Pavlovic hands Milan a corner down their left. Tonali heads over to take it.
11' There's action at both ends! Kjaergaard gets denied by a fantastic sliding block by Tomori Now Milan stream upfield! Leao holds the ball up to the left of the box before finding Bennacer. The Algerian's shot gets charged down quickly.

2' Salzburg start off with intent, pressing Milan into their own defensive third. Tomori cannily sees the ball out for a goal-kick.
1' The visitors Salzburg get this game underway!
This is Salzburg's second away trip to face Milan in the Champions League, the previous one being a 3-0 defeat in September 1994. The Italians are unbeaten in all three of these teams' Champions League meetings, drawing their last meeting in September 1-1. A repeat of that result would be enough to see the hosts through.
Salzburg put out the same 11 that lost narrowly at home to Chelsea 2-1 last week.
There are two changes to Milan from their last group game, a 4-0 away win over Dinamo Zagreb. Kjaer and Krunic come into the starting lineup.

Salzburg currently sit third in Group E and need a win to leapfrog Milan into second place. The Austrian champions have only picked up one win in the group so far, so they'll have to attack if they want to reach the knockout phase for a second consecutive season. Lose and they could drop out of Europe entirely depending on events elsewhere. It's on!
Milan and Salzburg come into this final group game with a place in the last 16 still in their sights. The Italians only need to draw here at San Siro to join Chelsea in the knockout phase. They'll be confident of doing so despite losing 2-1 away to Torino last weekend.
