Commentary

That's all from Turin today, so thank you for joining our Champions League coverage and goodbye!
Before these sides reconvene in Israel, Juventus continue a crucial spell in which they play back-to-back games in Europe plus tackle Milan and then city rivals Torino; Maccabi Haifa next turn out on Saturday, before welcoming the Bianconeri to Sammy Ofer Stadium in six days time.
After a start which promised little more than 90 minutes of patient 'attack versus defence', a highly-competitive and entertaining encounter broke out - and, particularly in the second half, Maccabi Haifa more than matched their hosts for attacking intent. The visitors struck the post twice, but were ultimately undone by the understated genius of Di Maria, who laid on a hat-trick of assists and would have had two more to his name had Vlahovic had a sharper match up front. Rabiot's double strike lifts Juventus onto six points in Group H and keeps them in contention for a top-two finish.
90' + 5' FULL-TIME: JUVENTUS 3-1 MACCABI HAIFA
90' + 3' A speculative Locatelli shot from more than 30 yards is easily saved in the centre of the goal by Cohen, as the game edges towards its conclusion.
90' + 1' HAIFA HIT THE POST AGAIN! Still not finished, the visitors rattle the woodwork once more: Atzili strikes the far post with a low, curled effort, before the substitute's follow-up shot forces Szczesny to save down to his right!
90' SAVE! Kean shoots straight at Cohen when released by Locatelli, and that's a good chance to bolster his goal tally wasted. It was a sharp stop, though, from the Haifa keeper.
88' With the anxiety of nearly letting the points slip now released, Juventus are calmly keeping possession, which is reflected in a more mellow mood among the home fans at the Allianz Stadium.
F. Miretti
L. Paredes
85' With the three points likely assured, Allegri rests Paredes, and teenage starlet Miretti makes a brief cameo.
N. Rukavytsya
A. Muhammad
84' After putting in an energetic contribution, Mohamed must make way; Rukavytsya comes on.
A. Rabiot
Goal
83' JUVE SEAL VICTORY! After an interminable delay, Di Maria's corner is finally swung in to the near post, where Rabiot is well-placed to flick in a header that zips past Cohen and into the far corner of the net. That's it: Juventus are surely over the line now, it's 3-1 in Turin and Rabiot has two!
Á. Di María
Assist
83' Compelting his hat-trick off assists, Di Maria sends over an inswinging corner from the right to meet the head of goalscorer Rabiot.
81' HAIFA HIT THE POST! Juve are reeling, and hanging on for dear life! Atzili wraps his foot around a free-kick from more than 25 yards out, and clips the edge of the goal frame; causing Szczesny to scramble across and attempt a desperate save.
Alex Sandro
Yellow Card
80' A high, crunching challenge on Sundgren, out on the left flank, sees Alex Sandro deservedly booked by the referee.
77' CLOSE! Bonucci intervenes with a last-gasp block, as Chery feeds a dangerous ball towards the near post for David to latch on to. He was so close to stealing an improbable equaliser! That's a corner for Maccabi Haifa.
T. Chery
Assist
75' After sending a few deliveries astray throughout the game, Chery finally produces a fine pass to release David for the goal.
D. David
Goal
75' HAIFA HIT BACK! Racing clear of Bremer to slot the ball past the exposed Szczesny, substitute David makes an instant impact; pulling the away side back within a goal of their hosts! It was a brilliant throughball from Chery, and the in-form striker did not err!
M. Kean
D. Vlahović
73' Allegri responds by making a change of his own at centre-forward, as goalscorer Vlahovic is replaced by Kean.
D. David
F. Pierrot
72' A switch up front for the visitors: Pierrot's race is run; weekend match-winner David comes on.
N. Lavi
M. Abu Fani
72' Another change by Bakhar sees Abu Fani replaced by Lavi in the Haifa midfield.
70' Chery and then Sundgren almost force the ball across the box, as Haifa apply some pressure, but Juve then mount a counter when the move breaks down. Vlahovic is released again, but the move fizzles out.
L. Bonucci
J. Cuadrado
67' A change of Juve captaincy sees Cuadrado make way for Bonucci.
M. Locatelli
F. Kostić
66' Allegri is happy to shut up shop and see the game out, ahead of a big game at the weekend. First, he replaces Kostic with Locatelli.
65' NO GOAL! Vlahovic is denied a second goal - and Di Maria his hat-trick of assists - as the original offside decision is upheld by the VAR.
64' JUVE GOAL? Once more, Di Maria gets Vlahovic away, and this time the Juve forward rounds Cohen inside the area and fires into the back of an empty net. The flag immediately goes up for offside, though, and only a ruling from the VAR can overturn the decision!
62' OFF THE POST! Seconds after having an attempt blocked at close range, Atzili strikes towards the bottom corner - forcing a smart Szczesny save that pushes the ball onto the post and behind! His arrowed strike from outside the box fully tested the Juve keeper.
D. Haziza
P. Cornud
60' Cornud's shift comes to an early close, as Haziza comes on to replace him.
O. Atzili
M. Tchibota
59' After failing to make the most of his chances today, Tchibota makes way for Atzili.
59' SHARP SAVE! Cohen has to race out and make a block, as Vlahovic is released on goal by yet another Di Maria throughball. The goalkeeper pulls off a good save, but the Serbian striker really should have had a hat-trick by now!
56' Juventus are now definitively on top, and with heightened confidence are starting to stroke the ball around their opponents. They've rarely shown such fluidity throughout a troubled season.
54' After a temporary delay to fix a technical issue with the officials' equipment, the action resumes. There's a long way back for Maccabi Haifa now, and their heads seem to have dropped a little.
M. Tchibota
Yellow Card
52' For a challenge on Rabiot, Haifa's Tchibota becomes the first player to receive a yellow card.
Á. Di María
Assist
50' A second assist of the game for Di Maria is perhaps just as cultured as his first. This time, the wing wizard slots the ball through the centre of Haifa's defence with the outside of his boot; picking out Vlahovic in space.
D. Vlahović
Goal
50' VLAHOVIC STRIKES! Another deft throughball from Di Maria opens up the visitors' defence, and Vlahovic makes no mistake this time: he strides clear of his pursuers before slotting the ball under Cohen and into the back of the net! Juve lead 2-0, and will take some stopping now!
48' Tchibota does well to cut inside from the right and play in Chery for a shot on goal, but the Haifa captain is off-target with his attempt - it sails past the left-hand post.
47' Sprinting onto a pass down the left flank, Kostic rolls a ball across the six-yard box from the byline, but the frustrated Vlahovic is just unable to make contact.
Alex Sandro
M. De Sciglio
46' Allegri switches his left-backs, as De Sciglio is replaced by Alex Sandro for the second half.
46' We are back under way in Turin, and Juventus have made a half-time change.
Since scoring 33 seconds into his Champions League debut in February (versus Villarreal), Juventus striker Vlahovic hasn’t found the net in any of his three subsequent appearances. That seems to be playing on his mind so far, as he's failed to make the most of some presentable opportunities.
Though Maccabi Haifa apparently set up to contain their more illustrious opponents with a five-man defence, the first half has offered up a handful of chances for both sides, as the visitors grew in confidence while Juventus became more frustrated. However, the pressure was eased on Allegri's men 10 minutes before the interval, as a moment of quality saw Di Maria and Rabiot link up for the game's only goal. Given the weight of history against them - an Israeli team has never before won away from home in the Champions League - can Haifa somehow turn this around?
45' + 2' HALF-TIME: JUVENTUS 1-0 MACCABI HAIFA
45' Goldberg intervenes with a crucial clearance inside his own six-yard box, as Vlahovic lurks behind him, hoping to convert De Sciglio's low cross from the left. That should see the visitors stay within a goal of their hosts at half-time.
43' CLOSE! Vlahovic misses out again, as he just fails to keep a cross from Kostic in play at the back post and the ball zips wide of Cohen's goal.
41' For all their time on the ball in the opening stages, Juventus have managed just six shots at goal to Maccabi Haifa's eight so far. Still, they have the all-important opening goal.
39' Mohamed and Chery work a corner routine to open up the angle, but the latter's cross is heavily overhit and sails out of play.
37' Juve drive forward again, and with confidence raised by the goal, they will surely aim to increase their advantage before the break.
A. Rabiot
Goal
35' JUVE LEAD! Just as it seemed their control of the game was getting away from them, the home side go ahead! With a clinical finish from the left side of the box, Rabiot finds the top corner, following Di Maria's incisive throughball. That'll ease the pressure: it's Juventus 1-0 Maccabi Haifa!
Á. Di María
Assist
35' A measured pass from Di Maria is perfectly weighted to set up Rabiot's strike from inside the box.
34' The dissatisfied groans of the Bianconeri faithful can be heard cascading down from the stands, as the visitors enjoy another spell of promising possession, which ends with Tchibota having a curling shot deflected into Szczesny's hands.
33' An ambitious long-range strike from Chery only scuttles harmlessly into the gloves of the waiting Szczesny, who is handily placed in the centre of his goal.
31' After several dangerous deflections deep inside the Haifa area, Cornud's final touch is not pounced upon and the away side survive.
30' Under pressure from the back-tracking Abu Fani, Di Maria slashes a wild shot several yards wide of goal from the edge of the area - he was not really balanced enough to take it on.
29' Cuadrado is back on the pitch, with the action having already resumed, but is still moving gingerly. Di Maria then fails to make the most of an opening on the right, and Haifa clear their lines.
27' The game comes to a halt as Cuadrado receives treatment for a knock, and the Juventus captain has to be helped from the field.
26' Wasting a golden chance to tee up a shooting opportunity on the break, Tchibota overplays and cuts inside after haring towards the box; sending Juve defenders into a panic. Having run into traffic, he loses the ball.
24' Rabiot is easily able to block a rather telegraphed 20-yard effort at goal from Tchibota, as Haifa enjoy a rare spell of possession in the Juventus half - they are looking increasingly comfortable, as the home fans' whistles start.
22' After Di Maria is felled just outside the Haifa area, but no free-kick is given, the visitors sense a brief window of opportunity to counter. However, they don't commit enough men forward and the chance fizzles out.
20' Not unexpectedly, Juventus are dominating the ball so far: the home side have enjoyed 61 per cent of possession in the first 20 minutes.
18' After Cuadrado's cross from the right strikes a defender and flies behind, Di Maria's corner-kick is underwhelming and wastes the set-piece opportunity.
16' Mohamed's corner ultimately comes to nothing, and Maccabi Haifa are forced to retreat quickly into their defensive shape.
14' Abu Fani opts for a shot at goal from a free-kick on the left side of the area, around 25 yards from goal. His effort has plenty of power but thunders into the Bianconeri defensive wall. Subsequent claims for a penalty - apparently for a possible handball - are ignored by both the officials and the VAR.
12' MISS! Vlahovic spurns another gilt-edged opportunity, as Kostic's diagonal run across the edge of the box opens up space and the winger's inside pass finds his team-mate unmarked in the area. With a rushed effort, Vlahovic only turns his shot wide of the right-hand post! That really should've been a goal.
10' SAVE! Just after Tchibota almost evades Bremer at the other end, Juve nearly find an opener! Vlahovic receives a clever pass from Cuadrado inside the area, but then sees his low shot toward the bottom corner tipped wide by a diving Cohen.
9' Today, Maccabi Haifa are seeking their first away victory in the Champions League. In fact, they have lost their last four outside of Israel without even scoring.
8' With Di Maria back in the action, the early theme resumes: Juve try to keep a high tempo while Haifa close them down furiously at every turn.
6' Having taken a blow on the ankle as he released a shot at goal from 20 yards, which sails wide of the right-hand post, Di Maria goes down and calls for treatment. The game comes to a temporary halt.
5' As expected, Haifa have lined up with five men at the back, with their wing-backs tucked in, aiming to narrow the options open to Juve in the final third.
3' Moving the ball around quickly, Juventus probe inside their visitors' defensive half early on; trying to exert some early pressure. At the end of the first real move of note, Vlahovic flicks a long-range header well off target.
1' Juventus kick off, and we are under way in Turin!
The iconic Champions League anthem rings out around the Allianz Stadium, and kick-off is now just moments away!
After beating their main title rivals at the weekend, Maccabi Haifa still make changes today, as Tchibota and Seck come into the starting XI, and Bakhar is set to send his side out with a five-man defence. While Abu Fani and captain Chery and pull the strings in midfield, Tchibota should support Pierrot up front. Despite scoring a match-winning double last time out, David is demoted to the bench.
Juventus welcome back Di Maria today, after serving a domestic suspension which kept him out of the win over Bologna, and the veteran winger slots into a front three alongside Serbian duo Vlahovic and Kostic. Bonucci and Milik are rested, with the versatile Danilo covering at centre-back and Paredes brought into the hosts' midfield. Max Allegri is still without long-term absentees Paul Pogba and Federico Chiesa, but the latter recently made his return to full training and should feature later in Juve's Group E campaign.

Maccabi Haifa, meanwhile, lost 3-1 to PSG on the second matchday, after taking an unexpected lead at Sammy Ofer Stadium. Barak Bakhar's side finally ended the club's 702-minute goal drought in the Champions League group stage, but they have now been beaten in each of their last eight matches at Europe's elite level. Following a 2-0 victory over Maccabi Tel-Aviv at the weekend, though, Haifa sit one point clear at the top of the Israeli Premier League.
After a pointless start to their Champions League campaign, Juventus join today's visitors at the bottom of Group H; already trailing Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica by six points. The Bianconeri are therefore faced with a double-header against Maccabi Haifa which could effectively decide their fate in Europe this season. Also beaten by Serie A newcomers Monza in their final fixture before the international break, Juve were on a run of one win from eight matches before hosting Bologna on Sunday, but a 3-0 victory leaves them seventh in the Italian top flight.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of today's Champions League Group H clash between Juventus and Maccabi Haifa in Turin!
