Rangers continually punched above their weight to reach the Europa League final for the first time since 2008, where they were beaten by Zenit St Petersburg. The Gers produced brilliant performances to defeat Borussia Dortmund, Red Star Belgrade. Sporting Braga and RB Leipzig to seal their place in Seville. Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men ended their Scottish Premiership campaign with three wins on the bounce, including a 3-1 victory over Hearts last time out. It was not enough to beat out Celtic for the Scottish title, but they have momentum on their side.
Eintracht Frankfurt are aiming to win the Europa League for a second time, having won the competition back in 1980 when it was known as the UEFA Cup. The German side have been outstanding in the Europa League this term, defeating Real Betis, Barcelona and West Ham United in the knockout stage. Oliver Glasner's men have put all of their focus into the competition and will be striving to secure the Champions League place that comes with a triumph. Their form outside of the Europa League has been patchy, signing off their Bundesliga season with a 2-2 draw against Mainz. They need an improvement tonight.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Europa League final between Eintracht Frankfurt and Rangers at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.
