Al-Dawsari scored a stunning goal against Argentina to help Saudi Arabia come back and shock everyone with a 2-1 win. He followed it with a well-taken finish to reduce the deficit against Mexico, which didn't mean much for his side but ruined the Mexicans' hopes of qualifying past the group stage.

Cho Gue-sung scored a quickfire brace for Korea in the second half to bring them level against Ghana on the second matchday, however, it wasn't enough as Ghana scored immediately after and won the match.
