Aside from partnering with Ndidi in the middle of the park, Aribo has been impressive with his creativity and distribution of key passes.

He wears the iconic no. 10 jersey for the three-time African champions in Cameroon and he started their first two games.

He provided the assist for Iheanacho's goal that gave the Super Eagles a 1-0 win over Egypt in their opening match.

  • Alex Iwobi, Mohamed Salah - Nigeria vs Egypt

The Everton man has been more of a support for the midfield.

Iwobi came off the bench in the second half against Egypt and Sudan to boost the team's midfield.

  • Kelechi Nwakali - Nigeria

The 23-year-old made his Super Eagles debut in the 1-0 win over the Pharaohs on January 11, after replacing Kelechi Iheanacho in the 80th minute.

Nwakali was part of the Golden Eaglets that won the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup in Chile and he also won the tournament's Golden Ball.

Currently plying his trade in the Spanish second-tier with Huesca, the former Arsenal youngster played as a second-half substitute against Sudan on Saturday.

  • Frank Onyeka - Brentford

    Frank Onyeka

Onyeka is yet to make his mark on the Afcon stage for the Super Eagles because he was an unused substitute in the last two games.

The combative midfielder plays for Premier League club Brentford and he made his Nigeria debut in a friendly game against Algeria in October 2020.
