Commentary

That's all from us, we hope you enjoyed the game. Until the next one, goodbye!
That win sends Hungary straight to the top of Group A3 in the Nations League, with England at the bottom for the time being. With Italy and Germany yet to play though, England's campaign couldn't have got off to a worse start, and they already have a mountain to climb if they're to reach the final stages of the tournament.
The new golden boy of Hungarian football, Dominik Szoboszlai scored the winner from the spot following Reece James' foul on Nagy, and finished the game with two shots, both of which were on target, as well as 23 passes in the final third, two of which were key passes. He's the creative hub which this side feeds off, and is set to play that role for years to come.
The match ends with the home side victorious! A flat performance from England saw them create very little in terms of clear-cut chances, whilst Hungary executed their few via that penalty from Szoboszlai! Hungary's game management following the penalty was superb, and on the balance of play, absolutely deserved that historic victory.
90' + 5' FULL-TIME: HUNGARY 1-0 ENGLAND.
90' + 3' SAVED! Maguire misjudges a high ball and Styles races away down the right. He cuts inside and tees up Adam, whose low drive is held by Pickford at his near post!
90' + 1' We're into five minutes of stoppage time at the end of the game, and can England rescue a result here?
P. Gulácsi
Yellow Card
89' Gulacsi takes his time to take the goal kick, and is yellow carded for time-wasting by the referee.
89' WIDE!!! Grealish drives into the box and flicks it on for Kane, who smashes a thunderous volley into the side netting with Gulacsi beaten!
M. Ádám
Á. Szalai
88' Hungary captain Adam Szalai is also brought off to a standing ovation, and is replaced by Martin Adam for the last few minutes.
B. Vécsei
Z. Nagy
88' Zsolt Nagy has been excellent down the left for Hungary, but comes off now for Balint Vecsei.
86' Hungary are closing this game out well, with the clock ticking down on what could well be a famous victory for the home side!
84' SAVED!!! James finds Kane in space with a great throughball into the box, but his shot from the tightest of angles is held by Gulacsi at his near post!
C. Styles
Á. Nagy
82' Adam Nagy also comes off for the hosts, and is replaced by English-born Callum Styles.
A. Fiola
D. Szoboszlai
82' Hungary's goalscorer Szoboszlai comes off with his penalty the difference so far, and he's replaced by Attila Fiola.
81' Oh no!!! What a miss!!! Another defence-splitting ball has England at sixes and sevens as Kleinheisler races clear, and his left-footed shot is parried by Pickford. Schafer follows up the shot, but volleys it over the bar with the goal at his mercy!
K. Phillips
C. Coady
79' Coady comes off following a solid 80-minute performance, and Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips will see out the rest of the game in his place.
77' WIDE!!! Grealish swings in the free-kick, which is met by Coady at the far post. His glancing header bounces in front of goal, but can't sneak inside the far post as it bobbles wide!
76' Bowen is barrelled over by Attila Szalai on the near touchline, and England have a good crossing chance from this free-kick.
75' Bowen has so far had four shots, half of which have been on target, as well as completing 15 passes in the final third and winning possession four times. Solid.
73' BLOCKED!!! Saka's cross for Kane is deflected to the edge of the box, where Bellingham arrives late to blast a half-volley goalwards. Attila Szalai blocks it though, and Gulacsi gathers before the Dortmund midfielder can follow up his shot!
72' SAVED!!! Maguire's long pass finds Bowen on the run, who volleys a good effort straight at Gulacsi! He's been England's brightest spark by far on his debut, the West Ham winger.
L. Kleinheisler
R. Sallai
71' Hungary make their first change of the match, bringing off Sallai for Laszlo Kleinheisler.
70' After Adam Szalai skilfully beats Rice in midfield, the England midfielder attempts to dispossess Szoboszlai as he races down the wing, but can only concede a throw in the process.
68' Bellingham looks to pick out a sprinting Bowen, but he's flagged for offside before he can really connect with the long pass.
D. Szoboszlai
Penalty Goal
66' GOOOAAAALLLL!!! Hungary lead, and it's their key man who has done it!!! Szoboszlai steps up and smashes a low penalty towards the left-hand corner, beyond Pickford's reach and into the net! 1-0 to the hosts, and England are really up against it now!
64' PENALTY!!!! Hungary have been given an almighty chance to score here!!! A long ball over the top for Zsolt Nagy is dealt with by James, but the England substitute bundles him over in the process and the referee points to the spot!!
R. James
Yellow Card
64' James is booked after going through the back of Vescei, compounding rather miserable England performance for the Chelsea defender.
J. Stones
K. Walker
62' England make a triple substitution, the first of which sees Walker come off for his Manchester City team-mate John Stones.
J. Grealish
M. Mount
62' Mount also comes off, and Jack Grealish will take his place in the front three.
R. James
T. Alexander-Arnold
62' Alexander-Arnold is also replaced at right-wing-back, and it's a like for like change with Reece James coming on.
61' Kane wins England a corner via an Attila Szalai deflection, but Maguire fells him in the box as he rises for a header and the ball goes behind for a goal kick.
59' OVER!!! The corner is headed away as far as Bowen, who touches the ball down and lashes a 30-yard shot that only misses the crossbar by a yard or so!
58' England fly forward on the counter and Kane tees up Mount, wide in the box. He crosses back for Kane, but an Orban block sends it behind for a corner!
57' Hungary again build possession well and Sallai crosses for Adam Szalai. It's a good ball for his captain, but Walker nips in ahead to chest the ball back into Pickford's arms.
56' Nego feeds Sallai on the byline, who ghosts past Maguire and crosses into the danger area, but Coady clears for England!
55' England stand off Adam Nagy as he comes forward through midfield. He tees up Nego, who tries his luck from long range, but a deflection off what appears to be the arm of Maguire takes the sting out of the shot!
53' Should he score, England captain Kane will become just the second player to reach 50 goals in all competitions for the Three Lions, after record scorer Wayne Rooney. Indeed, Kane has been directly involved in 16 goals in his last 12 appearances for England.
51' SAVED!!! Saka drives forward down the left-hand side and beats Attila Szalai with ease before shooting on the angle. It's a good, low effort, but Gulacsi sticks out a leg to parry the ball away!

B. Saka
J. Justin
46' That injury picked up by Justin has ruled him out of playing the rest of the game, and Bukayo Saka will replace him at left-back for England.
The two sides head back out for the second half, and can either side find a goal early in the next 45 minutes?
Nego has been really impressive down the right for Hungary, producing two key passes and whipping in four crosses. He's also completed two-thirds of his duels on the ball, as well as winning possession three times with two tackles. He's been superb so far.
A rather lacklustre half by England's recent standards, with the Three Lions creating very little in the final third. Hungary have had the better chances, albeit few and far between, with Pickford stopping Szoboszlai from close range. Gareth Southgate's men will need to really improve in the second half if they're to get their Nations League campaign off to a winning start!
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: HUNGARY 0-0 ENGLAND.
45' We'll play a minute's worth of added time to close out the half.
43' After plenty of back-and-forth action in the first half-hour of this half, the tempo has really slowed as both sides continue to hold their opponents at bay. With half-time past approaching, a goal could well and truly give this game a much-needed shake-up.
41' Adam Szalai is bundled over by Rice as the two contest a loose ball, and it's the England man who is penalised.
39' England are unbeaten in their last six away games versus Hungary, while Gareth Southgate could become the first England manager to win consecutive away matches against Hungary.

33' Bowen cuts inside from the right and takes on Zsolt Nagy on his way into the box. He smashes the ball across the face of goal, but Lang steps in to knock it behind for a corner!
32' WIDE!!! Adam Szalai picks up a loose ball on halfway, spots Pickford off his line and tries his luck, only missing by a few yards!
31' Hungary have lost just one of their last nine matches in the UEFA Nations League, picking up five wins in the process. Indeed, they’ve found the net in all six of their home games in the competition.
29' SAVED!!! Hungary flood forward as Sallai finds Szoboszlai. He plays in Zsolt Nagy, who blasts a low effort from the edge of the box that Pickford parries away!
27' Justin goes down holding his leg following a sprint, and leaves the field for further treatment.
25' Justin is put into space down the left and links up with Mount, but Attila Szalai shadows him all the way and blocks his cross out for a throw-in.
23' Sallai evades Justin and whips in a cross, but it's blasted clear by Coady for a Hungary throw.
A. Schäfer
Yellow Card
21' Mount keeps possession well down the left and looks to play in Kane, but he's brought down off the ball by Schafer and the Hungary midfielder is penalised and booked.
20' Kane is in space down the right and crosses into the danger area, but it's a fraction too early for Mount, who can't quite reach the ball following a late run into the six-yard box.
18' Coady arrives late at the back post, but he can't get a clean connection on Alexander-Arnold's cross and sends it over the crossbar.
17' Bowen engineers space down the left side of Hungary's box and floats in a cross, but it goes behind off Lang for another England corner.
16' Schafer powers through midfield and into the England box. He looks to cross from the goal line, but it's cut out by Maguire.
14' England are unbeaten in their last 22 games in all competitions, winning 18 in the process – their longest ever unbeaten streak. Indeed, the Three Lions have conceded just six goals in this run and never more than once in a game.
12' OFF THE LINE!!!! Hungary fly up the field and spread it wide to Nego. He smashes the ball first time across the box, and Szoboszlai latches onto it! Pickford races out to block his shot, but it squeezes through him and Coady has to hoof it off the line!!
11' SAVED!!! Kane switches possession wide to Alexander-Arnold, who whips it back into the box. Bowen attempts a volley, but it's a weak effort that Gulacsi easily saves!
9' BLOCKED!!! Kane heads Justin's flick forward onto Bowen in the box, who hits a left-footed half volley towards goal, but Attila Szalai blocks it behind for a corner!
8' Four of Gareth Southgate’s 10 defeats as England manager have come in the UEFA Nations League, more than he’s lost in any other competition in charge of the Three Lions.
7' Another long ball from Coady looks for Justin, but Nego chests it behind in the box for the first corner of the game!
6' This is the 25th meeting between Hungary and England in all competitions, with the Hungarians failing to win any of their last 15 matches against the Three Lions since a 2-1 victory at World Cup 1962.
4' WIDE!!! A good throughball from Mount finds Kane, who cuts inside Orban in the box, and has a shot which curls around the outside of the far post!

1' Szalai kicks off for Hungary, and we're underway at the Puskas Arena!
The teams head out of the tunnel, and we're almost ready for kick-off in Budapest!
Gareth Southgate awards two England players their debuts from the off, with Leicester’s James Justin and West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen starting at left-back and right-wing respectively. Recalled Roma striker Tammy Abraham will also look to make an impact from the bench.
Having missed the European Championships through injury, RB Leipzig forward Dominik Szoboszlai starts in a front three for Hungary, and will aim to kick off this Europe-wide tournament with much better luck.
