<p>The United States international midfielder has been out of action since suffering a hamstring injury in March. He missed the end of last season at Elland Road as a result, with <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/not-easy-goodbye-relegation-regret-tyler-adams-usmnt-star-farewell-message-leeds-bournemouth-transfer/blt7ce34b31d53a83d5" target="_blank">Leeds slipping out of the Premier League without him</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Adams is back in the English top-flight after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/tyler-adams-premier-league-usmnt-bournemouth/blt7d4ccf06369c3d63" target="_blank">making a big-money move to the Vitality Stadium</a>, but he is not yet match fit. He has suffered the odd setback in his recovery from a niggling knock, with it yet to be determined when the 24-year-old will be ready to take in a debut appearance for Bournemouth.</p>

<p>Adams has told the Cherries <a href="https://www.afcb.co.uk/videos/interviews/the-first-interview-tyler-adams/ " target="_blank">official media channels</a> of his rehabilitation and when he could come into contention for selection by new boss Andoni Iraola: “Yeah, there’s been a lot of ups and downs. This has been my most major injury in my career. I got a little bit excited when I started to feel good early on but came back a little bit too quickly and had a bit of a setback. Throughout the summer I was able to make a lot of progress. I’m excited about where I’m at and I’m hoping that I can have an influence on the pitch very soon.”</p>
