The Buccaneers will be keen to pick up maximum points after sharting spoils in their last two league outings

Orlando Pirates take on TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium on Monday in a Premier Soccer League match they are eager to win to boost top-two chances.

This is how the coaches have selected their starting line-up.

  • Richard Ofori, Orlando Pirates, March 2022

    GOALKEEPER - Richard Ofori

The 28-year-old has been in good form since he returned from his long-term injury having kept three successive clean sheets in the PSL.

Ofori will be determined to ensure that the Buccaneers avoid a defeat by keeping another clean sheet.

  • Bandile Shandu, Orlando Pirates, March 2022

    RIGHT-BACK Bandile Shandu

The attack-minded full-back netted his first-ever PSL goal for Pirates against TS Galaxy in the first round league clash as the Soweto giants won 2-0 at home in December last year.

Shandu will be hoping to produce another stellar performance against the Rockets and help the Buccaneers complete a league double over the Mpumalanga side.

  • Innocent Maela, Orlando Pirates, August 2021

    LEFT-BACK - Innocent Maela

The experienced defender has impressed since he returned to the starting line-up as he filled the void left by Mako in this position.

Maela has helped the Buccaneers keep two successive clean sheets and he provided the assist for Bucs' winning goal against Simba of Tanzania on April 24.

  • Happy Jele, Orlando Pirates, March 2022

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Happy Jele

The veteran defender, who has fallen out of favour in the last few weeks, featured as a substitute against Chippa - replacing Ndah.

Jele has been recalled to the starting line-up as Ndah is not a match fit for the clash with the Rockets.

  • Ntsikelelo Nyauza, Orlando Pirates, November 2021

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Ntsikelelo Nyauza

The versatile defender has enjoyed some solid displays at the heart of defence in recent games.

  • Abel Mabaso, Orlando Pirates, September 2021

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Abel Mabaso

The utility player has cemented his place in the starting line-up as a defensive midfielder since last month.

Mabaso has moved ahead of Thabang Monare and Ben Motshwari in the team's central midfield pecking order.

  • Linda Mntambo, Orlando Pirates, April 2022

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Linda Mntambo

The 32-year-old player brought some creativity and urgency to the Bucs midfield when he came on as a substitute against Chippa.

Mntambo has been rewarded with a starting berth in Mpumalanga as the Buccaneers look to claim a much-needed victory.

  • Goodman Mosele, Orlando Pirates, March 2022

    ATTACKING MIDFIELDER - Goodman Mosele

Mosele returns to the starting line-up after being an unused substitute against Chippa.

He will be looking to provide the much-needed creativity for the Pirates front-runners.

  • Thembinkosi Lorch, Orlando Pirates, December 2021

    RIGHT FORWARD - Thembinkosi Lorch

The diminutive attacker has looked sharp in the last few matches, but he has been wasteful in front of goal having missed a sitter against the Chilli Boys.

Lorch, who is yet to score this season, will be hoping to open his scoring account for the current term in Nelspruit.

  • Deon Hotto, Orlando Pirates, November 2021

    LEFT FORWARD - Deon Hotto

The hardworking attacker provided the assist for Bucs' second goal when they defeated the Rockets in the first league clash.

Hotto's delivery from set-pieces and explosive speed could create big problems for the hosts.

  • Terrence Dzvukamanja, Orlando Pirates, December 2021

    CENTRE FORWARD - Terrence Dzvukamanja

The Zimbabwean forward has been selected ahead of Kwame Peprah and Tshegofatso Mabasa.

He will be out to score his first league goal of the season.
