Amakhosi will be determined to avoid their fourth successive defeat in the PSL when they face the Citizens on Saturday.

The Soweto giants are yet to report new injuries in their camp following their 2-1 loss to Lamontville Golden Arrows on Wednesday.

However, Sifiso Hlanti remains sidelined with a long-term injury and the team has no players on the PSL suspension list.

GOAL takes a look at how the Soweto giants could line up against the Citizens at FNB Stadium.

  • Brandon Petersen, Kaizer Chiefs, February 2022

    GOALKEEPER - Brandon Petersen

The former Bidvest Wits star has conceded four goals in his last three matches, but he is seen as a leader by co-coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillion Sheppard.

Petersen wore the captain's armband following Ramahlwe Mphahele's substitution in the last two matches.

  • Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    RIGHT-BACK - Ramahlwe Mphahlele

The Amakhosi defence looked shaky following the versatile defender's substitution against Arrows and they conceded two goals following his departure.

Mphahlele's experience and defensive solidity will be important as the Glamour Boys look to avoid another defeat.

  • Reeve Frosler, Kaizer Chiefs, April 2022

    LEFT-BACK - Reeve Frosler

The former South Africa under-17-international will be bracing himself for a fascinating battle with City's flying winger Craig Martin.

Martin tends to use his explosive speed to torment his marker while Frosler is a strong tackler.

  • Siyabonga Ngezana, Kaizer Chiefs, December 2021

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Siyabonga Ngezana

The towering defender has established himself as a regular for Amakhosi with some solid performances in recent weeks.

Ngezana, who has overcome his injury woes, is set to make his fifth successive start during the month of April.

  • Daniel Cardoso, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Daniel Cardoso

The experienced defender was introduced as a substitute - replacing Njabulo Ngcobo, who had made a costly mistake against Arrows.

Cardoso could be handed his first start since March 22 with the Soweto giants desperate for a win when they face City.

  • Njabulo Blom kaizer Chiefs

The 22-year-old returned to his natural position as a central midfielder against Abafana Bes'thende.

Blom will be up against City's Cameroon youth international Fabrice Ambina in a midfield battle.

  • Cole Alexander, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Cole Alexander

The former SuperSport United and Polokwane City star is one of the most experienced midfielders at the Naturena-based giants.

Alexander's experience will be important in midfield as the Soweto giants were outclassed by Arrows in the middle of the park in the second half.

  • Keagan Dolly, Kaizer Chiefs, October 2021

The Westbury-born playmaker, who is Chiefs' top scorer with nine goals this term, extended his goal drought to three matches against Arrows.

Dolly will be eager to end his goal drought when he faces the Citizens, who have kept a clean sheet in three of their last three games.

  • Dumisani Zuma, Kaizer Chiefs, April 2022

    RIGHT FORWARD - Dumisani Zuma

The speedy attacker has impressed in the last two matches as a substitute - adding some urgency and speed to the Chiefs attack.

Zuma is most likely to be handed his first start of the season this weekend.

  • Khama Billiat, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    LEFT FORWARD - Khama Billiat

The former Zimbabwe international's deadly combination with Leonardo Castro created big problems for Abafana Bes'thende.

Billiat will be looking to find the back of the net once again when he faces City's stubborn defence.

  • Leonardo Castro, Kaizer Chiefs, December 2021

    CENTRE FORWARD - Leonardo Castro

The 32-year-old striker provided his first assist of the season when he set up Billiat in midweek.

Castro will now be keen to open his scoring account for the current season against the Western Cape side.
