Siyabonga Ngezana, Kaizer Chiefs & Gaston Sirino, Mamelodi Sundowns, May 2022
Amakhosi showed character as they came back to hold Masandawana to a 1-1 draw in a PSL clash on Sunday evening

Check out how GOAL rated the performances of Chiefs players following the titanic PSL encounter.

  • Bruce Bvuma, Kaizer Chiefs, March 2022

    Bruce Bvuma - 6/10

Put in a decent performance in goal.

Bvuma was the busier of the keepers in the first half and he made smart saves to keep Downs at bay. However, he was well beaten by Aubrey Modiba's strike after the restart.

  • Njabulo Blom, Kaizer Chiefs, February 2022

    Njabulo Blom - 5.5/10

Made a bright start to the game.

Blom bombed up and down the right flank as he looked to create chances for his teammates. However, he was in the no-man's land for Sundowns' goal as Modiba scored from his flank.

  • Reeve Frosler, Kaizer Chiefs, November 2021

    Reeve Frosler - 5.5/10

A mixed bag on the night.

Frosler ventured up and down the wing and created several opportunities to cross the ball, but he struggled to contain Gaston Sirino who was afforded space to take shots at goal.

  • Terrence Mashego, Cape Town City & Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Kaizer Chiefs, February 2022

    Ramahlwe Mphahlele - 6.5/10

Had a slow start to the game, but improved gradually.

Mphahlele made a positive start to the game and was instrumental in organizing Chiefs defence.

  • Siyabonga Ngezana, Kaizer Chiefs, March 2022

    Siyabonga Ngezana - 7.5/10

Did a good job marking Peter Shalulile.

Ngezana's pace proved to be vital for the hosts as he made some great covering runs while winning his duels with Shalulile. He made clearances and interceptions when his side was under pressure.

  • Victor Letsoalo of Royal AM challenged by Cole Alexander of Kaizer Chiefs

    Cole Alexander - 6.5/10

Played well on his return to the starting line-up.

Alexander looked sharp in attack as well as defence. He made important tackles to win back possession for Amakhosi and he was involved in the build-up to Chiefs' goal.

  • Phathutshedzo Nange, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    Phathutshedzo Nange - 7.5/10

Rose to the occasion on the night.

Nange did very well to win the ball back a few times as Chiefs looked to maintain their high-intensity pressing. He scored an equalising goal after positioning himself outside the Downs box.

  • Keagan Dolly Kaizer Chiefs May 2022

    Keagan Dolly - 6/10

    Flourished as a playmaker.

Dolly looked lively behind the front three, carrying the ball goalwards in a bid to create goalscoring chances for himself and his teammates.

His poorly taken penalty was saved by goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse, who also denied the Chiefs star from the rebound.

  • Khama Billiat, Kaizer Chiefs, February 2022

    Khama Billiat - 6/10

    Looked lively throughout the match.

Billiat dribbled past opponents on a couple of occasions and drew fouls in dangerous areas, but he couldn't keep his shots on target.

  • Lazarous Kambole - Kaizer Chiefs April 2020

    Lazarous Kambole - 5/10

Handed his first start of the season.

Kambole failed to commit himself sufficiently while pressing and also allowed the Downs' wingers to pass him easily. He was substituted with 16 minutes left.

  • Leonardo Castro, Kaizer Chiefs, December 2021

    Leonardo Castro - 5.5/10

Looked determined to impress against his former side.

Castro's link-up play was good as he combined well with fellow CBD, Billiat and Dolly, but chances didn't fall for the Amakhosi marksman.

  • Kgaogelo Sekgota of Kaizer Chiefs

    Kgaogelo Sekgota - 6.5/10

Introduced on the hour-mark and he made some good runs into dangerous positions which led to him being fouled in the Downs box, but Dolly failed to convert the resultant penalty.

  • Samir Nurkovic of Kaizer Chiefs

    Samir Nurkovic - 5.5/10

Came on with 16 minutes left and he looked to attack crosses which were played in the visitors' box and he forced Pieterse into a late save.
