Amakhosi are on the lookout for quality strikers, and while several high-profile players have been linked with the club in recent months, the 50-year-old mentor continued to play his cards very close to his chest.
However, he assured the club fans that they will continue to monitor the market when the transfer window opens in January.
“Scouting for new players is a continuing process that doesn’t stop. We will check the market for possibilities,” Komphela told the Amakhosi website.
Komphela, who was full of praise for Siphiwe Tshabalala following his display against Platinum Stars last weekend, is already looking forward to welcoming some of his star players when the league resumes in January 2018.
He feels the returned of the injured players will also increase competition for places in the team.
“Shabba provided us with options [against Platinum Stars]. Don’t forget as well that we still have to continuously adjust as we have a few important players out injured. Luckily, these are now getting close to full fitness, which will give us a nice headache when it comes to team selection,” Komphela said.
