K'Ogalo coach Dylan Kerr reveals to Goal that a top scout from Scotland as contacted him over the availability of the players

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has revealed that six players from the club are now in the radar of Europe clubs after their friendly with Everton.

The Kenyan champions failed to march the Toffees as they succumbed to a 4-0 defeat in the friendly on Tuesday. Substitutes Broadhead Nathan and Oumar Niasse scored twice in as many minutes to add the gloss on a superb display by Everton after Ademola Lookman and Kieran Dowell had struck in the first half.

After revealing that four players had impressed scouts after the friendly, the Briton coach has now told Goal.com that a top scout from Scotland was keen to do business and secure the services of the six players.

The six are Shafik Batambuze, Philemon Otieno, Ernest Wendo, Cercidy Okeyo, Francis Kahata and Harun Shakava. “I have just received another phone call from a well-known scout from Scotland and he wants the details of the six players. Had my players’ played like I know, the list could have been even bigger.”

Kerr has also insisted that the Kenyan champions did not deserve to lose by a 4-0 margin. “Nobody wanted that result, 4-0, it was a bad result but we marched them, they never caused us many problems like I thought, we defended very well and also missed our top striker Jacques Tuyisenge which did not help.

”I don’t think we got hammered, we gave them a few scares and should have scored a couple of goals and we didn’t because we were unlucky, and nobody really troubled my goalkeeper and when you look at the list of the players, they have, I must thank my players because they put up a good show.”

Gor Mahia used the friendly to prepare for the new season that kicks-off on December 8.
