Kedah forward Sandro da Silva has welcomed the arrival of Paulo Rangel; the Red Eagles' latest mid-season signing.
Talking to the press after he was awarded the PFAM-Asiana Player of the Month award for April in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, the Brazilian expressed his hope of clicking well with his compatriot.
"This will be my first time playing together with him. I hope we can do a good job and produce results.
"We're lucky to have him here (Kedah); we have good players and now he has come to support us. I hope he will be a good partner for me up front, and can help the team," said Sandro.
Coincidentally, the Red Eagles' next match is against one of Rangel's former Malaysian club; Selangor on Saturday. The match, part of Malaysia Super League round twelve fixtures, will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium.

Commenting on his best player of the month award, the 34-year old Sandro said:
"I'd like to thank God, my teammates and the staff at Kedah, and all the Kedah fans who voted for me. The win is very important for me and Kedah. I am now more motivated to work hard and help the team."
Sandro's win for the month of April came after he received most of the fans' votes, edging out other nominees such as Patrick Cruz (Pahang), Gonzalo Gabriel Cabrera (Johor Darul Ta’zim), Wander Luiz (Perak) and Azam Azih (Pahang).
