Caf have gone ahead to release the revised Africa Women’s Cup of Nations fixtures with Equatorial Guinea replacing Kenya in the Group B.
The latest development could as well seal the fate of Kenya despite Football Kenya Federation's attempt to have the tournament’s kick-off suspended until the body's appeal is heard and determined.
According to the latest fixtures, Equatorial Guinea will now kick off their championship with a match against Zambia then face South Africa before completing the Group B campaign with a match against Nigeria.
Equatorial Guinea was reinstated back to the tournament despite the fact that Kenya won the initial appeal over the former for allegedly fielding an ineligible player. Kenya had appealed against the inclusion of Annette Jacky Messomo in the squad that eliminated the Starlets in the qualifiers.
The Caf Disciplinary Council ruled in favour of the East African nation on a verdict delivered on September 8 only for the same body to revise their decision.
