The Bankers came into the match aware that they could reduce Western Stima's lead to just four points with a win on Saturday

The race for promotion to the Kenyan Premier League became even tighter as KCB moved second on the NSL table following a 2-1 win against Kenya Police.

The Bankers came into the match aware that they could cut Western Stima's lead to just four points with a win against the administrators. The Elvis Ayany led side did not let the chance go as former Thika United striker and Kennedy Owino scored for the team to seal maximum points.

Peter Wanyonyi hit a consolation for the jaded Police side that started the season on a high note, but faded along the way. Nairobi Stima lost ground with a barren draw away to Bidco United, with Kisumu All Stars registering the same result against Migori Youth.

Saturday: Bidco United 0-0 Nairobi Stima, Kisumu All Stars 0-0 Migori Youth and KCB 2-1 Kenya Police.

Sunday: Western Stima vs City Stars, Modern Coast Rangers vs Kibera Black Stars, Nakuru All-Stars vs Coast Stima, Talanta vs GFE 105 and Ushuru vs Kangemi All-Stars.
