Jomo Cosmos have announced the signing of Orlando Pirates striker Ayanda Nkosi on a season-long loan deal.
The 25-year-old marksman recently joined Ezenkosi on trial as he looked to impress the club's technical team which is led by legendary South African footballer Jomo Sono.
Nkosi has since done enough to impress at the National First Division (NFD) club, who unveiled him on Wednesday.
Ezenkosi released the following statement regarding Nkosi's acquisition:
"Jomo Cosmos have enhanced their attacking preferences with the acquisition of Orlando Pirates striker, Ayanda Nkosi on loan for the rest of the season," a club statement reads.
Ezenkosi assistant coach Brice Aka, confirmed that Nkosi will be part of the club's squad during the current 2018/19 campaign.
The Ivorian stated that the technical team was satisfied with Nkosi during his week-long trial period.
“Yes, we are taking him on loan for the season, and hopefully he’ll add value to our attack,” Aka said.
Nkosi will be hoping to get regular game time at the Gauteng-based side having struggled to establish himself at Bucs since joining the Soweto giants from Free State Stars in 2016.
The frontman made 10 league appearances for the Buccaneers in two seasons - hitting the back of the net just once in the process.
Nkosi could make his official debut for Cosmos when they lock horns with TS Galaxy in a league match at the Kameelrivier Stadium in Mpumalanga on Saturday.
Ezenkosi succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to former PSL side Ajax Cape Town at home on match day one of this season's NFD campaign which started last weekend.
