Harambee Starlets win second friendly away in Jordan

Harambee Starlets registered another victory after they beat Jordan U-20 2-1 on Thursday.

The Kenyan girls had won the first friendly 2-0 and were looking to complete a double over the hosts. Corazone Aquino was the team’s hero notching a double in the 65th and 75th minutes respectively.

Alanaoud Ihab Alzabrey managed a consolation for the home team. The Kenyan side is using the match as part of their preparation ahead of the Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup, first round qualifiers against Ethiopia.

Kenya sailed to the first round after Botswana withdrew from the return leg of the preliminary round having lost 7-1 at home in the first leg. Africa will qualify two teams to the 2018 World Cup to be hosted in France.
