India are placed in the Group A in the AFC Asian Cup 2019 which starts in January. They are pitted alongside hosts United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain and Thailand. Interestingly none of the other three nations has improved their rankings. This means India are still the second highest ranked side in the group.

India are all set to take part in Intercontinental Cup organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) which starts from June 1 in Mumbai. Stephen Constantine’s men will be the highest ranked side in the competition which will also involve Kenya, Chinese Taipei and New Zealand. While New Zealand and Chinese did not progress in the latest ranking, Kenya have moved two places to climb to the 111th spot.

Globally, there has been no change in the top 10 rankings. Germany are at the top of the table followed by Brazil, Belgium, Portugal and Argentina respectively.
