K’Ogalo started their campaign with a one all draw away to Rwanda's Rayon Sports, before following up with a 0-0 draw on Wednesday. The tactician has rued missed chances and officiating as the main reason why his side dropped points.
“It all starts from the mind, we have to believe we can win and finish top of the group, not finish second. I have players who can do it, quality players who can give us the result that we need to go top of our pool. We just need to get the right results.
“Our game against USM, well it was winnable, but we missed good chances and some decisions went against us.”
Despite the draw, Gor Mahia is second in the group with two points same as third placed Rayon. USM Alger lead the table with four points with Yanga tailing the group.
Gor Mahia will now face Yanga away in their third match while Rayon Sports will come up against USM Alger.
