Arsenal took the lead twice in each half of the encounter but could not hold on to secure their 10th Premier League win of the season against the Red Devils who last won a league match on November 3 [vs. Bournemouth].
Shkodran Mustafi gave the north London club an early lead in the 26th minute but was shortlived by Anthony Martial's leveller four minutes.
In the second half, Marcos Rojo’s own goal put the visitors ahead again in the 69th minute but Jesse Lingard's immediate response ensured both teams shared the spoils.
Aubameyang was in action for the entire duration and managed just two shots on target as the Gunners stretched their unbeaten run to 20 games in all competitions.
However, the 29-year-old who leads the scoring chart in the English top-flight with 10 goals remains hopeful that they make up for the lost points when they host Huddersfield Town on Sunday.
"Hard work, a bit disappointed because we deserved to win tonight but we can bonify this point on Saturday," Aubameyang wrote on Instagram.
