Gor Mahia have received yet another uplifting news ahead of the congested August fixtures following the availability of right back Karim Nizigiyimana.

The right-back has been out of action for close to two years after picking a tendon injury late 2016.

The injury kept the Burundian international out of action for the rest of the 2017 season as he was recovering from a surgery.

But the talented defender is set to resume normal action over the weekend when K’Ogalo plays their second of the eight KPL matches lined up in August.

“Karim is set to return for the match against Nakumatt. He has recovered fully and he looks good to play now,” Gor Mahia coach, Dylan Kerr told Goal.

Karim now joins the list of returnees that also include Ernest Wendo and Wellingtone Ochieng who have since made it back to the team.

Wendo is set to play in Wednesday’s match against Kariobangi Sharks while Ochieng returned last week in a victory against Posta Rangers.

Wendo picked an injury at the Cecafa Kagame Cup while Ochieng suffered a minor fracture on his ankle during a league match against Bandari in Machakos on March 4.
