K’Ogalo are said to be salivating for the services of experienced Wanga, who is seen as a potential replacement for Ephraim Guikan. The Ivorian was released by the record Kenyan champions after only one season in the Kenyan Premier League.
Gor Mahia have openly expressed their interest in Mudavadi too, but Homeboyz insists that the two are not on sale.
“We are not selling the two players. They are both on long-term contracts and we are not going to negotiate with any club. We are assembling a strong team for next season and there’s no way we are going to release some of our key players,” Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula was quoted by the People Daily.
Wanga joined Homeboyz at the start of 2017 Kenyan Premier League season from Tusker. Mudavadi, on the other hand, is a product of the Homeboyz youth academy system.
Gor Mahia will kick off their title defence against Bandari on December 8. Bandari, who are currently on a pre-season holiday in Zanzibar, finished second behind K’Ogalo.
