AFC Leopards - Vihiga United Preview: Can Ingwe make things right?

Goal Kenya.
Ingwe has drawn three games and lost two, the result that has seen them languish in the fifth position on the 18-team table

The two teams are facing each other for the first time in the Kenyan Premier League.

The sides come into the match with varying league forms as well as ambitions. The hosts are in a five game winless run that has seen them collect just three points in the top tier.

For Vihiga United, things are a little different; in the five matches played recently, the promoted side has collected a total of eight points after winning two games, drawing as many and losing just once.

Coach Edward Manoah hopes his side can floor Ingwe despite late venue changes. “We will adjust and play well. We had gone to Machakos for the match but we realized the game had been rescheduled to Thika Stadium in a late communication.

“For sure it may affect us but I know the team is in good shape to get the three points in order to get ourselves out of our current position. Am impressed how my players are settling well in the league though most of them are debutants.”

PLAYERS TO WATCH

AFC Leopards: Defender Robinson Kamura is expected to shake off a reported groin injury and face the 2017 NSL champions. His leadership at the back will be vital. Captain Duncan Otieno will also have to marshal his midfield well and ensure he stops the opponents from playing.
