Kaizer Chiefs have been hit by Covid-19 in recent weeks and they will be looking to assemble their best team for Sunday's Premier Soccer League clash against Royal AM.

GOAL predicts how the Soweto giants could line-up.

  • Daniel Akpeyi

    GOALKEEPER - Daniel Akpeyi

The Nigerian shot-stopper has started 10 of Chiefs' 14 league games this season.

In the process, he has kept four clean sheets while conceding six goals.

  • Njabulo Blom kaizer Chiefs

    RIGHT-BACK - Njabulo Blom

The 22-year-old has been a regular for Chiefs but missed only two games this season due to illness.

After playing in central midfield in the last game against Sekhukhune United, Blom is expected back in the right-back position.

  • Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya of Kaizer Chiefs.

    LEFT-BACK - Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya

He made his first start of the season against Sekhukhune and is expected to be in the line-up again.

He has been a reliable player during Chiefs' crisis period, having also come on as a substitute in the 3-1 win over Swallows FC.

  • Daniel Cardoso, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Daniel Cardoso

The experienced defender has started 11 games in 12 appearances this season.

Chiefs have not conceded in the four matches Cardoso has been involved in.

  • Erick Mathoho, Kaizer Chiefs, September 2021

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Erick Mathoho

He started from the bench against Sekhukhune United and was introduced in the 68th minute.

Mathoho is expected to have gained full fitness to start on Sunday.

  • Austin Dube, Kaizer Chiefs, September 2021

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Austin Dube

As they are still trying to recover from a turbulent three weeks, Chiefs could opt to be more cautious again by fielding three central defenders.

Dube was steely in a three-man set-up at the heart of the defence against Sekhukhune.

  • Njabulo Ngcobo, Kaizer Chiefs, September 2021

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Njabulo Ngcobo

The utility player completes a more-defensive approach by Chiefs which they look set to continue with.

  • Phathutshedzo Nange, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Phathutshedzo Nange

Nange enjoyed a good game against Sekhukhune and scored his first-ever goals after being introduced as a late substitute.

His pinpoint passing and ability to initiate attacks will be key for Chiefs.

  • Keagan Dolly

    RIGHT-MIDFIELDER - Keagan Dolly

He was surprisingly omitted against Sekhukhune despite looking on fire at training.

Dolly's return would be a cause for concern for Royal AM.

  • Bernard Parker, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    LEFT MIDFIELDER - Bernard Parker

The veteran midfielder has been showing his experience this season after being widely regarded as a spent force before the start of the term.

Even if he does not score, Parker has influenced Chiefs' matches this season.

  • Khama Billiat, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    CENTRE-FORWARD - Khama Billiat

The Zimbabwean completes a Chiefs attacking unit which has been a menace to most defenders.

Billiat will be keen to add on to the four goals and five assists he has managed in 12 games this season.
