Blues move for winger targeted by Arsenal

Chelsea are close to agreeing fee of more than £55 million with Leeds for Raphinha, according to The Athletic.

Barcelona have long been linked with the Brazil international, while Arsenal are also interested in the winger.

However Chelsea now seem to be best placed to sign the 25-year-old as Barca and Arsenal struggle to meet the asking price.

USMNT goalkeeper Zack Steffen is set to join Middlesbrough on loan, according to the Manchester Evening News.

With Man City set to bring in Stefan Ortega to back up Ederson, Steffen will join Boro in an effort to secure first-team opportunities ahead of the World Cup.

Steffen has played 21 games for City across the last two seasons but only one in each campaign in the Premier League

Takumi Minamino has completed his €18 million (£15.5m) transfer from Liverpool to Monaco.

The Japanese international becomes the latest player to depart the Reds as Jurgen Klopp continues his summer attacking overhaul at Anfield.

Gabriel Jesus is at Arsenal to undergo his medical ahead of a proposed move from Manchester City, reports BBC Sport.

The Brazil international is set to complete a £45 million ($55m) switch to Emirates Stadium from the Premier League champions.

Chelsea are interested in bringing Ukrainian international Oleksandr Zinchenko to Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Mail.

Everton and West Ham are also interested in the 25-year-old, but funds are not as easily accessible at those clubs.

Man City would not stand in the way of Zinchenko's departure with the club pursuing a deal for Brighton's Marc Cucurella.

This summer, Reinier is anticipated to leave Real Madrid on loan once more; with GOAL learning that Portuguese giants Benfica are currently leading the pack of interested parties.

According to L'Equipe, Chelsea have made an offer for Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele.

Thomas Tuchel's side are on the search for attacking reinforcements and have identified the Frenchmen as a potential target.

In an effort to outbid Manchester United for the services of Argentine international Lisandro Martinez, Arsenal has submitted a second offer worth €35 million (£30 m/$37m), GOAL can confirm. 

The Ajax star has been identified as a priority target for the Gunners this summer as Mikel Arteta looks to add to his defensive ranks.

Arsenal have already had one offer rejected for the defender, but have now returned with an improved bid for the 24-year-old that Ajax are currently mulling over.

Lens midfielder Cheick Doucoure is on the verge of joining Crystal Palace in a deal worth €21 million (£18m/$22m) plus add-ons, GOAL can confirm.  

Negotiations for the Malian international have been ongoing for a month and a deal has now been struck which will see the 22-year-old join Patrick Viera's side on a five-year deal.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Raphinha and his representatives are becoming increasingly sceptical that a move to Barcelona can happen in this transfer window, given the Spanish clubs financial problems.

Leeds United would demand a fee of around €65 million (£56m/$68m) for the 25-year-old, which Barcelona may find difficult to match.

Xavi's side are also negotiating a deal to bring in Lewandowski, while the futures of Memphis Depay and Ousmane Dembele remain uncertain, all of which affects the possibility of Barcelona signing Raphinha.

Arsenal have submitted a £35 million bid for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez, according to the Mirror.

Martinez has been earmarked as a target for Erik ten Hag at Manchester United alongside Ajax team-mate Jurien Timber.

But Arsenal have made more progress than Man Utd in the race to sign the Argentinian star, although that race isn't over just yet.

Fulham have made an offer to sign Wolfsburg defender Kevin Mbabu, reports Sky Sports.

Fulham are after a right back after earning a rise back to the Premier League for the upcoming season.

And Mbabu is one of several targets, with the club offering €10m to secure his services.
