Football Transfers reports that Arsenal is contemplating a move for Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer, with a potential boost coming from their sporting director's existing relationship. The reigning Serie A champions hired Mauro Meluso earlier this summer and he has a good relationship with Arsenal, after Meluso recommended Jakob Kiwior to the club.

This favorable connection could pave the way for a possible acquisition of the Georgian attacker. However, Football Transfers notes that securing Kvaratskhelia's services won't be easy. Napoli is determined to retain their forward, and parting with their star player would require a potentially record-breaking bid from Arsenal.

Arsenal's £92m Declan Rice move advances as West Ham eye replacements

Arsenal have moved another step closer to clinching the record £92 million signing of Declan Rice, with West Ham identifying three signings to replace their captain, according to The Telegraph.

The Hammers want to splash the Rice windfall on mutliple players all across the pitch, and are eyeing moves for Leicester City’s Harvey Barnes and midfielders James Ward-Prowse, and Ajax’s Edson Alvarez.

While the Irons are the front-runners to land Barnes, they could face stiff competition for Alvarez from Borussia Dortmund, and have lined up Fulham's Palhinha as their fallback option.

Rice is Arsenal’s priority target for the summer window, and the north London club lead the race by quite a stretch at this point. There's little stopping this deal from moving quickly once a price is agreed upon with West Ham.
