Erling Haaland has turned the Premier League into a Farmer’s League, some fans have reacted following his breath-taking performance as Manchester City overpowered Manchester United 6-3 on Sunday.
The Norway international not only got a hat-trick in the nine-goal thriller, but records also tumbled for him – one of which saw him become the first player in English top-flight history to score a hat-trick in three consecutive home games in the competition.
Although Haaland was the talking point, others queried why super-sub Anthony Martial was not handed a starter’s role for United.
Not left out of this discourse is Cristiano Ronaldo, who a few suggested should think about quitting the beautiful game as he is being underutilized at Old Trafford.
Interestingly, this was the first time that the Citizens scored six goals in a home game against Manchester United in all competitions
Haaland is a very good goal scorer. The world shouldn't have allowed him to play in a Pep team. It's criminal. He's going to get 100 goals a season. EPL is a farmers league after all - @IamAfeez.
