High-profile South African coaches took to social media to react to Fadlu Davids' appointment at Lokomotiv Moscow.
The 41-year-old tactician was appointed as an assistant coach at the Russian Premier League giants on Tuesday as he reunited with Josef Zinnbauer.
The duo worked together at Orlando Pirates between 2019 and 2021 with German mentor Zinnbauer being the head coach.
The Buccaneers won the MTN8 title in 2020 under their guidance.
Several local tacticians took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Davids' move to Europe - three months after he had parted ways with Pirates.
The retired striker had reached last season's Caf Confederation Cup final with the Soweto giants as a co-coach alongside Mandla Ncikazi.
GOAL took a look at some of the high-profile professional tweets from the social platform.
The SuperSport United coach wished Davids success at the Moscow-based side as the duo was born in Cape Town.
"All the best on the new venture Davids, wishing you nothing but success and growth," Hunt wrote.
While Daine Klate, who recently parted ways with Chippa United in what was his first coaching job in the PSL, urged Davids to enjoy the experience abroad.
"Congratulations and good luck coach onwards and upwards enjoy the experience," Klate wrote.
Cape Town-born goalkeeping legend Moeneeb Josephs also wished him well abroad.
"Mubarak coach…May the Almighty bless this journey with success Ameen," Josephs, who served as AmaZulu FC goalkeeper coach between 2020 and 2022, wrote.
Newly appointed Al Ahli Saudi coach Pitso Mosimane, who is one of the most famous African coaches, reacted to Davids' appointment with emojis.

While Roger de Sa is the Iran assistant coach and Alan Clark serves as Kosovo's under-21 national team assistant coach.
Lastly, Steven Pienaar is an academy coach at his former Dutch club, Ajax Amsterdam and his former Bafana Bafana teammate Bradley Carnell is the head coach at USA outfit St. Louis City.
